Greetings

It's hard for me to write introductory posts. I don't know what to say without sounding stupid, yet I believe first impressions are important.
So usually I ramble.
I guess I shall say something about myself.
Okay.
My name -- well not my real name, but the name, or rather nickname, that I use here -- is Syn. Just to clarify straight away, it's a shortened form of a name from a video game. It it NOT a weirdly spelled word 'sin', though I believe it should be read as 'sin' rather than 'sign'. I think it makes more sense that way because of its longer form.
I come from the country called Croatia. I am not that proud of it, but such is life. We all have our burdens to bear.
With that in mind, English is not my first language; technically it's my third (not counting the neighbour countries' languages which are pretty much the same as mine, the difference being like that of British, American, Canadian and Australian English), with German being my second, however not even 9 years in school taught me to use it (German language). Pretty much at all.
I've only studied English officially for a year and a half, in university, so I apologise in advance for my future mistakes (grammar, spelling or any other kind). And I also prefer British English.
Since I mentioned college, I can say that I'm a Computer Science student (not a good one, though), and that has nothing to do with me being here. Well maybe it does a slight bit, but never mind.
I think this pretty much covers the basics.
I also believe that I've said way too much.

Ello, how are you? Amazing I hope! So, you're in college, eh? Is it as much fun as my older friends tell me? I hope it is, I'm going to have to go there in a few years. , You're a Computer Science person? I hope to major in Jornalism and Psycology. Yeah, I'm in for a lot of work.

Don't worry, it will be easy for me to pardon your English. English is not my first lanaguage either; my first lanaguage is French. But I like to consider myself a pretty kick-ass English speaker. So, with that said, I see you come from Croatia. Nice place. Lots of scenery, good breathing air. Yeah, I love that place.

Okay, I must apologize for my excessive lies. I do not know what this Croatia place is nor have I ever been there. It has a pretty awesome sounding name, so it can't be that horrid. Please, tell me, how is it there? I am honestly interested. Anyway, if you have any questions about the sight, I would be more than happy to help you out! It can be quite fun, yes. It depends mostly on your attitude. It does require a lot of work, though, but that can be fun as well, if you like what you're studying.

The thing with me is that I have barely any experience in SPEAKING English. I believe I'm quite proficient at reading, writing and understanding (I really like English language and I like to be able to express myself nicely, in any language, and since I'm still not good at telepathy, that means I have to use traditional languages), however I had almost none talking experience. Which kinda sucks.

Well it's really pretty, that is true. However the politics are such that we are pretty much destroying ourselves.

I'm not really sure.. I don't have just one favourite. But one that always stood out to me was Jim Carrey. He can play a wide variety of roles and he had some really good movies. I do admit that he often goes overboard with his silly faces, but whatever.

But one of those that I really like is Still Crazy (1998). Oh and The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) is also worth mentioning.

Well, you definitely write English quite well! Especially for studying under two years. I did Spanish for just under four years in high school, and I most definitely was not as fluent writing or speaking as you are writing English!

And I really have to finish reading The Count of Monte Cristo, and then go see that version of the movie. So, so badly. Then, we shall discuss it - sound good?
