Hi, I'm Danielle, and as you've probably noticed (from my title and doe-eyed expression, no wait you can't see that...) I'm new! I'm also a writer, just like you. We already have something in common, awesome right?

What else... I'm a ballet dancer, no joke. I dance for over twenty hours a week, again no joke. I don't quite know how much though because I hate math and once I work with numbers passed twenty life starts to get too difficult, joke. I don't have much free time because of the whole dancing and writing thing mentioned previously, but in my spare time I like reading and watching movies. I just read Such a Pretty Girl by Laura Weiss and absolutely loved it. I think I'm going to read it again and create a charty thingy, with all the different symbols and where they are and how they are applied, etc., so that I can figure out what the ones that are eluding me actually mean. I know, I'm kind of a nerd at times, but I think I'm cool too, and I hope you do. Bye!

Hi Mirror (I can call you that, right?)
Pink here and...Welcome to YWS! *high five*
Wow, no way? You're a writer too? So flipping awesome, so am I!
So what kind of genre do you like to write? Who's your favorite author?

Dancing huh? Wow, totally not for me. I find myself already having problems with two legs and walking straight. If I tried to lift one weirdly I think the world begins to tip, XD. But wow, it's pretty cool that you're a dancer. You must be good since you practice that much. Anyways, I hope you have fun here and if you ever have a question or something, you can always pm (private message) me and I'll be glad to help you out. And if you don't feel like trusting a clumsy gal like me, you can always pm the mods (users with green names) since they're pretty much balanced and know what they're doing haha.
So, have fun and post!

You can call me mirror if you want, just don't call me "in" or "the", that could get confusing...
So my favorite authors are Francesca Lia Block, Dr. Seuss, Ellison, and all of the awesome people here. It's a pretty broad range I guess.
As far as writing goes, I'm currently working on a new take on a fairy tale, so I don't really know what to call it but whatever it is, that's my favorite genre, I guess.
Thanks for the welcome!

Hey, Mirror! Welcome to YWS! *throws dance party because we can both dance. You, ballet. Me, my avatar does all the work XD*

Anywho! Don't worry about being a nerd here -- we're all nerds at heart, and most of us, not at heart. Especially us who regularly come on here -- I mean, come on, who spends their free time on a writers site? Oh, wait, I do... Me, and other nerds.

YWS is a great site, nerd-filled or not. We're all very friendly, and a lot of us are like family (except for the whole never-seen-each-other's-face thing). YWS also has a ton of awesome things to do, like pages, contests, writing tutorials, a whole lot of forums for writing and who-knows-what. Because of that, it can be fairly confusing. If you have any questions about the site, writing in general, or you just want to talk, PM me. I'd love to hear from you!
