Hello!!! My Names MasterMind and I'm new to this site and I'd like to greet everyone officially before....I CONQUER THIS SITE AS I WILL CONQUER THE WORLD!!! LOL> Just Kidding. I made this account about a few hours or so ago and have been stalking the forums reading around. If there are any helpful tips you could give me about posting, or just say hi. Or you could pledge your undying allegiance for when I rule the world... But whatever you're up to. Just remember that I'll know who's against me when I RULE THIS PLANET. No seriously.

Glad you've decided to conquer join YWS! (Actually, we have a group for that--Snoink's Evil Minions. We do some pretty fun contests and such now and then.)

If there are any helpful tips you could give me about posting

First of all, it costs 100 points to post a work, so you must review in order to get these points. You can earn fifty points maximum per review (except I'm stupid and don't remember how many words you have to put in your review to get the fifty points! O.o) But, yeah...

Pretty much, if you go and review, and you follow the review checklist on the side, you'll end up having made a decent review, and have a few points in your pocket. Remember, though, it must be over 250 characters to count as a review in your review count. (Also, if you look in Resources --> Knowledge Base, there are some review tutorial articles. Furthermore, there are writing articles to help you out with writing; they're pretty much all great, and will help you feel more confident in what you're posting, more often than not.)

So, then, after that, you can post:

Make sure you proofread before you do.

You can post two new works a day.

Just do your best. Post something you feel proud of, and you'll get reviews that will help you when you go back and edit to make it better.

If you get a somewhat harsh review, don't feel bad. It happens, but really, all the person's trying to do is help you out. Everyone's just got their different styles.

So I hope that helped you out in regards to your question on posting. If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to throw me a PM (You can do that from the side of this comment, actually.)

Seriously, though, welcome. I'm sure you're going to like the site. There are a lot of awesome minions - I mean PEOPLE - here. All very willing to serve, I mean, help.

I'd recommend reviewing a lot... Hanging in the forums... Sudoku is fun, and so is hanging out in the live chat thing. ^^ Be sure to check 'em out!
