My name is Josh, I live in the south of England.

I'm a avid reader of mostly high fantasy and some sci-fi novels; I own about two hundred books now in total.

A couple of years back I decided to give writing a go. My first attempts were, for the most part, dreadful. However over the years I like to think I've improved at least a little; I am currently six chapters (about 24,000 words) into a fantasy novel I'm writing.

I was suggested to check out this site by an Uncle who's son; my cousin, is involved in it in some capacity.

Anyhow I look forward to sharing my work with you at some point in the future and eagerly await any suggestions you may have.

Thanks,
Josh.

I did that too. My old stories are really embarrassing.

Cool. I hope to read it sometime if you consider posting it.
I hope to see you around! If you need help with something just PM me.

You're new? Great seas! Why haven't you gone to the Buddy System yet?

You're dealing with writers. The words "normal" and "usual occurrence" do not compute.

Helloa Josh!

I'm Lava and welcome to YWS! :)

And wow, 200 books? Awesome! I'd love to own atleast half of that.
I would like to see some of your writings. I'm sure the critiques will help you.

Well, suggestions, I'll just give a few things.
1. We have a system where it costs points(10) to post.
2. Reviewing is a great way to get to know other YWSers.

Well, PM me if you need help.
Cheers,
~Lava

Heya Josh. I love this name. :smt002

Welcome to YWS. What's the name of your friend here at YWS? We might know him, of course we would.

So you are into Fantasy, huh? Well, I like reading it though I haven't given a shot at writing it. What to do, I don't get goof Fantasy ideas in my head. :(

Have a great time writing and I would be glad to review when you post the novel.

All I knew before coming here is that he was some sort of moderator so I had a quick search and found Firestarter. Who, unless the picture is a lie, is my cousin.

Haha, welcome cuz! The picture does not lie. I made a mental note to invite you to the site after my dad said you'd be writing lots in Turkey, but then completely forgot. Standard.

I'll review your novel later today at some point, gave a quick read-through just now. Hope you stick around, man.

Welcome, welcome! That's a nice, snug number of books to have and if your taste lies in fantasy, I have a feeling some of ours might match ^^

A pleasure to have you here, I look forward to seeing more of you xxx
