:P

I have to agree with Rei here. Grades, in the long run, mean nothing. It's what you do with that knowledge you earn which means something. So, while I have a higher GPA than either Bush or Kerry, I would hope you wouldn't trust me with running the country...

On the side note, Nate can stand a chance! :)

Trust me when I say that Nate is way too stupid to ever run for President. Anybody who routinely dances with a broom and a straw hat while singing to Breakfast at Tiffany's should never be considered.

It actually kind of annoys me when people bring up, "How does it make you feel about your country when..." since they don't live here. And if you don't in a specific country, then the learning curve for understanding the internal politics is extremely steep. Indeed, most foreigners I have come across (and this does include a couple ambassadors to the US) have nothing but a base comprehension of how the U.S. government works. Of course, this does include American citizens as well, but since they live here, I attribute it to just ignorance rather than some elitist attitude as which we are experiencing here.

This thread was started by somebody with just such an elitist attitude and who consistently tries to find more to lambast the U.S. with. As such, any comment addressed to the individual I would consider to be rather degrading since that person is not looking for a researched, unbiased viewpoint, but merely more ammunition.

That's my polite way of telling Midnight to shut up.

Hehee... no, I think it's a fair question. It raises awareness about our president, if anything, and makes people interested. If she went on a rant about how Americans were just a bunch of idiots, then perhaps I would protest, but I don't think the intentions were harmful.

And if Nate does that, he would definitely have my vote. ^_^

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into… the Twilight Zone.
