These were all taken for Lava's Colours Contest and I chose to do a picture for blue, red, and green. Any advice is welcome.

Red:

Green:

**Note: All three of these were edited only slitely as far as contrast and brightness are concerned.

The first was a little blurry, but the vibrant color contrast would have been nice if it was more focused.
The second was really nice! I'm just a sucker for macro photos, plus it's faded, chipped and a little rusty. Kudos.
More color contrast, but if this were by itself, I'd give it a middling score. With the other two, of course, it raises that score by a large amount.
Overall, very well done, I would have combined all three in a sort of panel of photos, probably vertically.

For the green, I think you should find another background that will really make it shine. I mean it's nice, but it seems very ordinary and plain. I cannot really talk, but this is just my opinion. I think you should find anohter concept that is green instead of a leaf with a dirt background...something personal to you.

My favourite would be the first one, the second one though doesn't really do anything for me. I think you could find something else use it. I just have to say you really are good at camera shots, I like the way you display them.
I spy!

What I ended up doing with these was actually running down to the local park and just taking pictures of anything that was the right color. The leaf was definitely my least favorite but I figured I might as well add it. Was it a bad idea?
I'm not sure. It was more of...I looked down from the merry-go-round and saw that leaf all by itself in the gravel.

Also, Jenthura, the reason the first one isn't perfectly focused is actually because the merry-go-round was spinning when I took the picture. For some reason, I thought it was a good idea.

Anyways, thanks for the comments!

Hey there, Lily! =]

I like all the pictures, but I have to say the last one for green is my favorite. =] Blue comes in second favorite and red third. For the most part these are nice, but I think the reason I like the last one is because of how much more natural it looks, if that makes sense.

Good luck with the contest!

Lily! I haven't seen you in a while.
The first one hurts my eyes because it's blurry and unfocused. But the bright colors and the contrast between the red and the blue are lovely.
This is cute. I like this. Reminds me of being a kid.
This is actually my favorite. The green really stands out against the gravel. The leaf looks so lonely and out of place there, but in a good way.... If that makes sense. xD

Good job, overall. :D

Hey, thought I'd return the favor and take a look at a random piece of yours.

The first is good, and I really like the subject idea, but I'm not a fan of how blurry it is, it hurts my eyes. If you could clean this up I think it'd be really cool.
The second one is good, not much to say about it though. Same goes for the third, although I like the third more because it's nice and simple. It's also got a really clean, natural feel. Could use some more interest but either way I still like it.
