Howdy y'all
I just joined a little while ago and thought I'd put this little introduction together. I'm really not that much of an active writer, but I was always told by my teachers and other old people that I was quite skilled. I try not to judge myself, but their praise does wonders for my self-esteem. I usually only wrote the typical essays that came with your average high school English classes, but this year (my senior year) I decided to give Creative Composition a try. As usual, I was praised for my writing ability, but what struck me most significantly about the class was that I genuinely enjoyed it. I started out writing basic poetry, and eventually got into short stories. Hey, I even co-wrote a screenplay (based off of my original idea).
Pretty impressive, huh?
But seriously, I really do enjoy writing creatively, and I'm hoping that it'll take me somewhere in life, the future, my career, whatever. If it doesn't, oh well.
I found that I fit rather comfortably in the niche of writing comedic/satirical/sarcastic short stories, so that's mostly what I write. However, that doesn't necessarily mean I don't write in other genres, mind you.
So, that's my story - well, part of it anyway; it's all I'm going to tell you so deal with it.
Remember, I'm relatively new to this whole writing deal, so I hereby apologize ahead of time if I screw up in any way.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
Until we meet again,
Chal
