Chapter One
Stroking Katie's fur I stared at the T.V. The sound of a car crunching the gravel on the driveway made Katie lift her head, her tongue lolling out of her mouth. Glancing at the clock I muttered to Katie "They're not suppose to be home yet." When she heard something else she bared her teeth and began growling.

Hopping off the couch she grabbed the sleeve of my gray sweatshirt, pulling me with her. I followed her and she led me to the closet. With her paw she closed the door. I was about to open it to bring her in with me but I heard a crash and then she barked feircly. All I could hear was growling and thumping. She let out a loud squeal and it got quiet.

I counted the minutes as I held my breath. After about five minutes I breathed out assuming they had left not finding anything. The door swung open and I screamed at the top of my lungs as a man grabbed me. I grabbed anything I could. Vases, bookshelves, side tables. They all just fell over and broke Clawing his face and neck I kicked at his stomach. Another man grabbed me but slammed me against the wall by my throat.

My air was out and my lungs were trying to get air. The man said fiercly "Shut up girl or I'll kill you." My lungs were screaming as they searched for any way to get air.

He finally let me go and I dropped to the floor, my lungs taking in air greedily.

First, this was very short. Check your punctuation, since it's a girl...you might want to put in more description.
"They're not suppose to be home yet.
You should put in " at the end of the sentence.
Hope this helped, a little. Sorry it wasn't much, but I have to go.
