Well, sense nobody would respond I decided to start reading it anyway. The book is written by a very good author in Neil Gaiman. I am about half way through it, and now I am really starting to like it quite a bit. Although I wasn't really very ecstatic to read it, (I had to for school, although I wanted to start Hunger Games) I am really impressed by how good of a writer Mr. Gaiman is, and I am really liking the uniqueness of this story. I would recommend the book to anyone! It is a newberry award winner by the way! Go out and get it, I promise you will like it, it is a little slow to start but after the interlude it gets really good.
Thanks for the review. I went out to buy this book but Barnes and Noble, at least the one near me, has a black abyss for its science fiction and fantasy shelves. You can't find Neil Gaiman, China Meiville or even Ray Bradbury. And it gets swallowed up by the Romantic Fiction shelves surrounding it, it isn't arranged alphabetically by author, and half their shelves are filled with Star Wars figurines... I ended up buying a forty- five dollar book on The History of Genocide, which I hated thoroughly.

Haha I'm sorry empressoftheuniverse. But yes... most bookstores only sell the romantic fiction stuff anymore and it is really starting to bug me.... And it is all thanks to Twilight... Which was ok but not nearly as great as everyone claims... I wish they would actually spread it out and show all of the sections...
I read The Graveyard Book in a day cause it was so good. I loved it and if anyone has any ideas for other books by Neil Gaiman or books that are like The Graveyard Book can you please PM me so I can try them out. Cheers Midnightread

I've only read about half of it so far because we where reading as a family (we all love Neil Gaiman...including my 12-year-old brother) but I'm considering finishing it myself just so at least one of us can have read it. We did manege to listen to American Gods together on a book on tape wall on a rode trip last summer. Neil Gaiman is such a awesome writer

Actually, I got this book about one to two years ago and thoughly enjoyed it. I my own opinion, I think it is a very good read is quite a tear-jerker at the end...
The Graveyard Book was pretty good. Gaiman had a very interesting idea there! I loved the characters. At one point it got a bit boring, though, but overall it was great.

But it was very creative and interesting, and I'm now afraid of anyone with the name Jack. =|

I like it a lot so far. Very well-written and unique. Wonderful so far.
