I know many of you out there already know I am doing this because you've read my blog and such, but it's official! I am signed up and taking donations. The shaving will happen on May 1 and I can promise you there will be pictures everywhere!

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I will be participating in St. Baldrick's which is an organization that raises money to go towards research to find a cure for children's cancer. My part in all this? People sponsor me (give me donation) based on the fact that I'm going to be shaving my head. It's a big deal! I'm hoping to raise at least $500 but I would love to well exceed this goal.

I know that many of you are only teenagers and don't have money of your own, or college students who don't have money! I'm one of those, too. But if anyone here could donate even $1 I would appreciate, though I know the children who the research helps will appreciate it even more.

I'm not going to give out the link directly to my donation page here because it contains some information that I wouldn't like the general public to have. Even though they could find the page through the st. baldrick's web site, I feel safer not giving the link out here. But, if you are genuinely interested in donating, please send me a PM! You can donate by credit/debit card through the website, or mail your donations in (cash or check).

Again, I'm not expect much from those at this site because we're all pretty young and don't have much to give. :) This is more about me wanting to share my experience with you than just to sit here and beg for donations. Because wouldn't you LOVE to see me bald?

This is nice that you're doing this. :) I was afraid this was an April Fools Joke at first. I'd love to donate, but my mom won't let me use her credit card for someone she doesn't know and I don't really feel safe sending in money.

I wish you the best of luck though and I hope you get a ton of donations!

This isn't just for you Elinor, but if anyone is worried about mailing in cash, the money wouldn't be mailed to me (in case you would think I'm stealing from you!) the money would go straight to St. Baldricks, which you can check out here: www.stbaldricks.com

I'm not trying to change your mind, I would never want you to do anything that your parents wouldn't approve of. :) I'm just letting others know I'm not trying to take their money! And this is definitely not a joke!

Hmm, looks interesting. Maybe I can convince my mom into donating a little.

Would I have to donate to your cause specifically, or I could I just make a donation to a general fund at St. Baldricks?

Well, you could make a general donation, or you could donate "to" me, basically, fundraising me because I'm shaving my head. Either way, I think donating is good! But if you want to donate through me, just PM me so I can link you to my donation page.
