A true friend is a must have
A true friend understands you
A true friend always hang out with you
A true friend stays with you
Whether good or bad times
A true friend cheers you up when you're down
A true friend cheers you too when you succeed
A true friend knows your strengths and weaknesses
Yet he/she changes it to your strengths
A true friend tells you the truth
Even though it will hurt you so much
A true friend tries to change the things you've done wrong
A true friend doesn't cry when you're crying
Because he/she knows that you much need of comfort than tears
A true friend is a must have
Because all of these things are found in this person

I don't really think that the repetition of 'A true friend' suits the poem. Since it occurs on every (really short) line, it clogs down the flow and interrupts the poem. I think once at the end, and once at the beginning would be good! Also, be sure to punctuate your poem properly-just because this is poetry does not mean you're exempt from grammar.

About your poem, I do not like the fact that you keep repeating 'a true friend', it seems too repetitive. (Don't mean to sound too picky). However, if you just stick to writing the main views it will make your poem a lot better
