...therefore, I am going to be forcing myself to write the crappiest work that you've ever seen! Wish me luck. :)

I too am experiencing this phenomenon and my god its irritating! I mean I have an idea of what's going to happen later on, but I dont know what to do with the intervening period.
Any suggestions?

Lemons on your left side demons on your right.
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, instead, you should read every single book to see what every book is about before you even come close to judging its viability.

I know what your saying Snoink.. I have frequent writer's block.

And in fact, I write something stupid everyday, and it's always in Creative Writing.
lol I love writing, but I don't like it when it's mandatory for a good grade and has a format
ἓν οἶδα ὅτι οὐδὲν οἶδα

The thing I hate the most is when teachers force you to write an outline or do some other stupid thing that supposed to be good for your writing. Forcing yourself to write will undoubtly produce your worse work ever. Though sometimes I write crap when I'm stuck and go back over it when I'm really in it.

Does anyone know any good tips to get unstuck?

I agree. When teachers impose strict guidelines and parameters for your writing, everything gets screwy.

Writers block sucks.

For every week I write well, I have quite a few more weeks in which nothing happens.
I've had it for the past month or so; I haven't finished one poem, story, or anything else. I am also forcing myself to write. But, predictably, the chapters I write during this period suck so I'll have do them over again someday when I sum up the motivation to sit at a keyborad and type.

Hehe, those users were so silly in their youth.
"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Since when has writing practice become silly?

Letting your standards go and allowing your writing to be less than what you picture in your mind is great practice. It changes your focus from what you cannot do to what you can do and it reminds you how important editing actually is. Yes, this topic is almost four years old. But look at me now. By allowing myself to write poorly, I've become a better writer than someone who tries to write a final draft on the first try... and a much stronger editor as well.
