My name is Caitlin. I'm thirteen years old, and I love to read and write. My writing skills could use some work, though. I'm not very good at plotting or thinking ahead of the chapter I'm writing. A few facts about me~:

*My favorite hobby is photography.
*My favorite books are Alice in Wonderland and The Outsiders. And, seeing as I'm in a verrry "The Outsiders" mood lately, the first thing I write will probably take place in that world/time, but with my own characters. Would that go under fan fiction or what?
*My favorite author is S.E. Hinton.
*I listen to music while I write. It makes the words flow better for some reason.
*My favorite band is The Beatles.
*This dancing pink elephant amuses me to no end:
*I'm bad at writing introductions.

Hey there!

Im Jasmine and Welcome to YWS! I have been here for about a year and a half and I LOVE IT!! I was just thinking about the Outsiders! Whenever I listen to music as I write I always manage to write the lyrics subconsciously and like randomly like here this is an ACTUAL EXCERPT FROM MY STORY!:

When his mother, Jennifer, came in and saw me her face turned white and she sat next to me, her face blank. She was in shock and the tears would come later. His father hurried into the surgery room and came out a little bit later, his mouth open a little. I'm sitting in a room, made up of only big white walls and in the halls there are people looking through the window, and they know exactly what your here for, don't look up just let them think there's no place else you rath

I was listening to Fences by Paramore because I thought it fit the mood but watcha! I end up typing the lyrics =_( lol.

Anyway, What type of music do you listen to? Do you like rap? Countyr? Pop?

I have yet to write down the lyrics to the song in a story, but I have been caught writing my thoughts down absent-mindedly. xD Fences is a really good song, btw.

I'm okay with rap, but it really depends who's rapping. Eminem is my favorite rapper. I listen to rock mostly, and some hiphop and pop. In other words, I'll listen to anything with a catchy beat.

I'm really excited by the fact that you like photography. Our photography forum has been getting some newfound attention lately, and we have some excellent photographers here that would be happy to help you out if you wish to continue further into that hobby!

I also listen to music when I write! Usually, I listen to movie soundtracks since they typically don't have any distracting lyrics I'll sing to (except for a chosen few, of course). I respect your love of the Beatles, let alone rock. This is a good thing!

Also, the pink dancing elephant amuses me too. xD
