My names Kate, clearly as the title states. I've on many writing sites, but none seem that active, other then fictionpress.com and fanfiction.net
I was hoping to meet some new writers, and read some good stories, hopefully I find what I am looking for here, it seems like a good site.

I really do hope you like it here as much as the rest of us.
I'm just going to review some very simple rules that we have here,

1.] we have this 4:1 ratio, I think it's 5:1 now though. That simply means you must review/critique four other works before posting one of your own.
2.] PLEASE DON'T TYPE IN CAPS
3.] we're writers here and that means you use correct grammar when posting and try to stay away from talkin' lik Dis, cuz it ain't kewl.
4.] Have fun, keep the bad language in the your stories and be nice!

Okay the hard part, the questions.
What's your favorite color? Cookie? TV Channel? Movie? Author? What are some of your hobbies? I like drawing, it's like a stress reliever!

How are you finding it so far? I hope that you're enjoying your YWS experience, and I also hope that I'll be able to sort out any problems you might have had.

Well, the rules have already been gone over but I think that I just need to sort out one for you. The review:work ratio is actually 3:1, and it isn't going to go up at present. To see your review ratio the go My YWS > My Profile > User Statistics, and you should see it!

So, have you found the usergroups yet? They're a great way to find people on YWS with the same interests as you; be it debating, photography or Harry Potter!

And how about the Buddy System? We buddies will look after new members for their first month on YWS. This is a really great thing to take advantage of, because it means you'll get a helping hand in everything you do! Just look through all the members and PM someone that you'd like to be your mentor.

Blue: Greeters! You see my name? Greeters hang round the welcome forums and make sure that new members get a warm welcome!
Purple: Instructors! Some of the best reviewers that YWS can throw at you.
Light Green and Dark Green: Junior and Global moderators respectively. JMs look after certain forums, and Mods take care of the entire site.
Orange: Distinguished Members! Members who have retired from their former Modliness.
Red: Administrators. Nate (The Webmaster) created this fine site!
