As Nanali grew older she also grew more reluctant to embrace the magic within her. Filled with the morals and beliefs of humans, "Magic doesn't exist," "There are no such things as monsters," and, "People can't talk to animals," Nanali rejected the memories, putting them off as strange dreams, and thought her bond with animals a coincidence. The hatred for her parents steadily grew inside her and, at some times, caused her to lash out at the one person she did love, Racheal. She kept her strange conversations with her pets secret and her memories from her childhood days underwater.
Her powers forced her into the shadows of school life, she made it through the years with only two true friends, Summer and Scyzer, up until 9th grade where they caught a glimpse of her ears and tail and fled.
No matter how hard she tried she couldn't stop the memories that invaded her mind or restrain herself from knowing of spells, chants, and the powers she has always had. Torn between the mortal realm and the world of the gods, Nanali was going insane, fearing that she was the only one that had these problems. Afraid that there was no one to help her find the truth. She lived in fear and speculation until, one day, she cracked.
