To a girl I knew so well,
If I would cease to exist one day, would you still remember me? Would you remember the times of innocence when we thought that love was enough?
In all of life's simplicity, the youth's pure vision makes it complicated enough.
Never forget the promises we made. For in those times of uncertainty, only silence can assure you of the only thing that's constant—love.
Like a dying man pleading for a second more of his life, I ask for one last chance to sit and talk with you, and assure you of all the things that you have started to doubt.
If only I said all of these things to you before, it would have made all the difference. I could've been the one waiting for you at the end of the aisle. I could've been the one whom you would spend the rest of your life with.
As you read this letter, I'm probably off to somewhere far away. You would probably know where, for it is in that place where we planned to
live together and forget all of life's harsh realities.
During the times we would sit and wait for the sun to set, I would always wonder what you are thinking. For all those times I was dreaming that one day, when the years have worn us off, we would still be together admiring not the beauty of the setting sun which we already know too well, but the mere thought of being there—together.
Sorry if I would never be able to fulfill the promises the young boy said to the girl. Promises are made to be broken, although sometimes you never really mean to break them.
I hope that you would be happy, and that all your visions of a happy family would be fulfilled. Except that I am no longer the one in the family portrait.
Wherever I may go, and no matter how different things might have ended, where you are is still where my happiness begins.
Be happy, I want you to be.

To a guy I thought I knew,
I am now preparing for what people say is the “biggest event” of one's life. I couldn't say likewise, because even if this is all I ever wanted, I still feel empty.
I should have known better than to believe in a boy's words. All the promises he made were never really fulfilled. It sucks to be the receiving end, and at the last moment, only to be given the excuse that promises are made to be broken.
Like a girl wanting her life to end up with the person she would love until the end of days would come, I waited. I waited, even if I wasn't really sure I was waiting for something.
Before, I thought that love was enough. I only realize now that it isn't. If it was, you should have been the one waiting for me at the end of the aisle.
If only that boy grew into a man like he promised, then he won't be a coward and would take me away to that place we would call home.
It would have been so nice to wake up on a Sunday morning, feeling him breathe beside me. It all seems to be a part of reality, but it is a reality which should soon be forgotten, and become one of the lifelong regrets a person could make.
I wished that the man who was full of wits had the guts to fight for me. It is quite ironic how people can promise you the world, yet can't promise themselves to you. I don't need the world, I only need one person to be with until the dawn of days would cease to come.
We knew each other ever since we were kids. How I would love to go back to' those days! When we wouldn't think of anything else, just to fulfill our roles when we play house.
The purity of the words of the youth are only tarnished by the lack of sincerity of the old. Where is that boy? Where is the one who promised to always hold my hand until the last sun would set? Come back to me, please come back to me. Only when you would, would everything make sense.
I can only be happy with you.
