Hi, Lily, and welcome to YWS!

Do you have any specific questions about how the site works?

As for the language problem, I can really relate. I'm a native Finn and English isn't my first language. Before I joined YWS, I knew English quite well, but being in here and talking to people has improved my language skills a lot. I still sometimes make mistakes, but I'd still like to think that I know English almost fluently. :)

I would suggest that before posting your own works here in English, you'd take time reading what other people have written, and just generally getting to know the site better. If you post your work with a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes, a lot of people will focus on them rather than the story itself, which would be a pity.

Also, I think the best way to improve your English quickly is to visit the YWS chatroom every now and then. You'll find it in the main page, and there's usually at least someone there who you can talk to and practice your English. You'll improve sooner than you think; it happened with me too. Just keep reading English stories and poems and make sure to use English everyday in some form.

I hope you enjoy your time in YWS, and just PM (private message) me if you need any help or have questions!
