Hi, everyone. I'm new here...nice to meet you all! This site seems like one of the best ones I've found in awhile. Go YWS!

Hi there, welcome to YWS!
First off, what would you like to be called? I was thinking Sunny, but you seem to prefer the rain to the sun so I'm a little stuck.

I'll just give you a quick run down of the most important rules here on YWS:

1) Plz no cht spk OR CAPS LOCK! This includes proper grammar, capitilization and not using excessive punctuation !!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it is a writers site.

2) The 3:1 ratio. You need to do three reviews for every piece of your work that you post on the site. It might be going up to 4:1 soon, but I'll get back to you on that!

3) Rating your work. If it involves sex scenes, the f-word, lots of violence or other adult content, please put "Rated R" in the title. Some members like to know what they're getting into.

4) Be nice. So no swearing outside of your stories and no flaming other members, please

5) Have fun! (which you will. I promise you)

Well, that's it for the rules! Now some questions about yourself *evil laugh*

What do you like to write? What do you like to read? Whose your favourite author? Watched any good films lately? What music do you listen to? What inspires you to write the most? Are you a cat person or a dog person? D'you love or hate marmite? What is your favourite word? Do you prefer to write by hand or by typing? What can't you live without?

And you, my friend, are a very lucky ducky. You've joined just in time for the fifth birthday of YWS! There's going to be some awesome changes to it and a blogTv show on the 11th! You see the header up above you? The one with the anteater thingy. That was made by one of our members for the birthday. Hopefully there'll be a whole load more coming!

Yes, I'm sure I'll have tons of fun!
For the twenty questions:
I write a variety of things, from poetry to fiction to lyrics. And then within those my genre changes with every work I make.
I like reading stories that are well-written, and have depth.
My favorite author has to be...oh such a hard choice...J.K. Rowling. I must say I do love the Harry Potter series.
As for the music I listen to, it varies just as much as my writing.
What inspires me to write is the fact that if I don't put the idea down somewhere, someone will never get to experience that wonderful (or terrible) idea!
I like both cats and dogs, and have had both in the past...though the cat was slightly weird, considering it bit my ear every night. Cats are now just slight below dogs!
I don't like marmite.
My favorite word has to be rain. I love the rain...
I prefer to type, that way there is spell check and I do not have to deal with my messy script.

The fact that you like JK Rowling overshadows the fact that you nearly said cats instead of dogs. (Don't deny it. We're all mind-readers on here ). And therefore, you is teh cool.

And yeah, the birthday is going to be awesome! But the TV thing is on the fifteenth, actually. I think.

You're right! It's weird--I nearly did say cats instead of dogs...if it weren't for that one cat...
Mind reading--oh my! I must practice...
