Hi everybody.

If you look over on the left and see my profile, you might notice I joined up several months ago which, as much as I love my writing, and my forums and my communities, was not the most sensible idea as I'm an 18 year old expert procrastinator (see how I cleverely told you a bit about myself inside this intro? ) and my exams were approaching, the most important than any schoolkid in the UK will face, the dreaded A-levels.

Worlwide Harry Potter fans may know them as the muggle equivalent of Advancing Wizarding Levels. Or whatever the hell they were known as (NEWTs springs to mind, but I don't know why?)
God, I've digressed! Sorry, back to the main point, re-introducing myself, yeah where was I...

Oh right. So I got those horrible nasty exams out the way (I was taking Physics, History and Maths which is a weird combination and hardly the greatest aide to my burgeoning love for writing but hey, wouldnt be the first bad choice I made!) and I have a pretty clear summer, so I thought I'd return to YWS ready to really be a part of the place and, as the short glimpse I got last time showed me, I know I will enjoy posting on here and being part of the community, because it's just a real nice and friendly place.

So, without wishing to state (or rather re-state) the obvious I'll just finish by saying my name is Sean, I'm 18 and from Liverpool in England, aside from writing I love films, I love gaming, being on the internet, being a real nerd, and football. (SOCCERRRR)

And that's pretty much that. But if I haven't bored you to death and you still want to talk, feel free to PM me! If, as I expect, I have bored the unfortunate reader of this unnecessary long introduction to a slow, painful and tedious death then I apologise sincerely. And hopefully when I post my stories, they will do anything but bore you.

Thanks :)

Well, welcome back, Sean!

Mind if I refresh your memory on some rules? I'm sure you've already heard a few, but I'll just go through them again.

~Please stick to the 2:1 ratio rule. That means for every piece of work you submit you should review at least two pieces of work on YWS.

~Please rate your work. If there is the F-word or sex in your writing, please rate it R.

~Do not use CAPs or chat-speak. For example: dat wuz awsm mn kp it ^! and THAT WAS GREAT KEEP IT UP!

Oh, if you'd care for a review from one of our Instructors, please contact one from this thread-

Also, you may or may not be aware that YWS is currently being updated. To see the new site that will be transformed into YWS in the upcoming weeks, check it out here-

Cool, yes? :D

Question time!

Do you prefer handwriting your work or typing it?

What are you currently writing?

What's your favorite hobby?

Who's your favorite author?

Do you have any pets and/or hobbies?

Have a question? Want a review or need a friend? PM me and I'll be happy to help! :D

Hiya and welcome (back!)

Selene has pointed out the rules, but I'd like to mention some finer points. ^^

A "review" must be at least three lines long for it to count, or 250 characters (although lines are much easier to keep track of!). The bonus is, the more you can point out in a work (what you liked/disliked) the better your own writing gets. The authors also get a slightly longer comment, which gives them a better idea of what they need to work on. It's win-win. :D

If you do rate your works G to PG-13, they'll show up on the front page of YWS. You just might get more comments. If you're unsure what your story would be rated, check out this article.

I'm impressed by how you managed to put the information about yourself in a very subtle and non-info-dumpy way. Do you write first person? The way you did that makes me think you do. (I write first person so I know how hard it can be)

From the Harry Potter reference, I take it you're a fantasy fan?

PM me if you need anything at all. ^^

Welcome back to YWS. I'm sure it will be just as good as it was the first time, if not better with the fifth birthday approaching!
Any questions? PM me!
