Neil Armstrong: "The Moon Landing Was Faked"

LEBANON, OHIO—Apollo 11 mission commander and famed astronaut Neil Armstrong shocked reporters at a press conference Monday, announcing he had been convinced that his historic first step on the moon was part of an elaborate hoax orchestrated by the United States government.

Well that's dumb they have actual footage of Mr. Armstrong walking on the moon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdSPF7ujsdw) I hope those people realize what fools their making out of them selfs.

Yeah, I read that earlier. Hard to believe, but I guess with Armstrong now denying it, it makes it that much harder to believe man landed on the moon. I'm wondering whether Obama will launch an investigation into it; I hope he does.

I can't imagine what that would mean for NASA now, if it turns out to be true that the whole thing was faked. Although I'm not sure how they would have actually tricked Armstrong into not landing on the moon? You'd think it would pretty obvious whether or not you had left the planet Earth, but I guess anything's possible.

It's a disconcerting thought.

Whatever you guys say I still think he might be telling the truth. Or at least he might be mistaken. Although I never did trust a conspiracy theorist: I just watched a show about conspiracy theorists saying that 9/11 was all fake, that the U.S. government swapped the planes in mid-flight and crashed these "rogue planes" into the Towers/Pentagon, and that the real planes were escorted to a secret location. How ridiculous is that?! Not only would it be pointless (as far as I can see), but do they even stop to consider the fact that they are spitting in the faces of all those American's who died? Disrespecting those families? Personally, I think they should save their cold-hearted theories for the tabloids, and this just goes to show that nothing they say could have any wait (usually) beyond the hour-special on the History Channel.
