Okay, just so you know, my bold, itallics, and spell check (It checks in spanish) are not working. I have no idea how to fix it. I know I can't spell worth poop and if I forgot a few words here and there, I'm sorry.

Have you ever heard the song "One Thing" by Finger Eleven? It's kind of like some people's relationship with God. We know he is there, waiting for us to come completely and wholly, but we're scared. We know that "one thing", know that we can trade every earthly thing we have to be eternally happy, but we want to go back to being ignorant so we don't have the responsibilIty of doing the right thing. The thing is, though, you can't un-know something once you've learned it.

When you know that the sinful life you've been living for so long has to be flushed down the toilet, you are apprehensive. How can He really love me after everything I've done? you may think. Imagine your parent's love for you multiplied by a million. That's only a fraction of how much God loves you. We really can't fully understand it because we aren't Him. From the time you were in the womb, God loved you. That love can never be tarnished or removed; God will love you no matter what you do or what happens in your life. He is always there.
How can you deny a love that great? That's what we, as humans, strive for, right? Love? God gives you that without question as to whether you will return it or completely ignore it. How can you not love someone who loves you so? Not to mention, he created you, the world you live in, and gave you everything you hold dear. Oh, yeah, he also sent His son, a part of Him, to die for you and I so we can all live happily ever after. You may think now, Well, why can't I just do whatever I want to do? He'll forgive me, right? That's what you are telling me.
There's a passage In the book "Eternal" by Cynthia Leitich Smith:
"Is there a difference between love and duty? I haven't walked this earth for long, but I don't think so. Love Isn't only passion and joy. It's also sacrifice."
When you truly love God back, you want to do His will, what He wants you to do. There is no better feeling in this world than being In God's grace. We all are, every single human is in His grace. We just have to figure that out and accept It.

I started out thinking I was going to tell you my answers to some of the common questions about God (Is God a He or She? If God really loved us, then why did he let us crap up our world so much? 1.God is a spirit, neither a male nor a female. In a male-dominant society, we call God a He. 2.We have this thing called free will that lets us make our own decisions. In other words, If you are looking for someone to blame for the shape of our world, look no further than Mankind.) But, Instead of writing what I'd planned, I wrote this. I wrote about how God loves us. Sometimes, I doubt that God really exists. Then I start to think about everything He's given me, and I get this feeling In the pit of my stomach. I know God's there, in my heart, being my conscience, my friend, my confidante.

In the end, It doesn't matter If I win the contest I wrote this for or If asxz thinks this piece is the worst entry submitted. If only one person does a double take on how they perceive the the world and everything in it, I will be happy. That's all that matters. I hope I do. I hope someone accepts Jesus into their heart or makes their walk with Him a closer one. I know this sounds ridiculous and absurd to some, but If you have any questions or just want to talk, feel free to PM me.

I'm npot christian, and I don't really believe in the 'god' that loves us eternally. But I started this contest because I want to know why you believe in God, or what you do think God is. It maskes sense, to be honest. Thank's for writing :)I'll post the results soon!
