pinnacle or penultimate?

Hi... I'm not really much for introductions... I used to be a member on TYWC, back when it was really active... looking around, I notice a handful of familiar nicknames, and it makes me think back to when I was 11 and I'd slink downstairs into the computer room at six o'clock in the morning so I could use TYWC's chat feature to talk to my buddy from Dubai. It's really disheartening to think that the site just kind of disappeared from the web. Every now and then, I use the WayBack archive (or whatever it's called) to go back and look at the chatwall, or some member pages.

I've known about this site for a really long time, but I finally decided that there was nothing to lose by joining, so here I am.

Hey Equalize! I'm glad you joined. ^^ YWS is an amazing place with a lot of friendly people, so I'm sure you'll find some old friends from TYWC in no time. A lot of them are just like you, coming to YWS after they used to be a member of TYWC. There's a YWS Chat where you might be able to find them, just go to the main page of YWS and click 'YWS Chat' on it.

Here are a few rules to get you started:

~Please stick to the 2:1 ratio rule here. What that means is that you must review at least two pieces of work for every submission you make.

~Do not use all CAPs or chat-speak. PLEASE DO NOT TALK LIKE THIS and dnt tk lyk ds. It makes it a lot easier for the eyes. However, term abbreviations, like POV for point of view, WC or word count, and MC for main character are acceptable.

~Please rate your work. If there is sex or the F-word please rate it R and so on.

I'm Mira and it's very wonderful to meet you. ^-^ Selene seems to have told you all about the rules, but perhaps I can enlighten you a bit about the different types of members?

Purple - Instructors! They are the best reviewers on the site and help improve the world of grammar.
Blue - Greeters! These lovely people wait for new members in the forums and welcome them to the site.
Green - Moderators! Light green will be for junior moderators while dark green will mean that they are the real deal.
Red - Administration. Without them, YWS wouldn't exist. :O
Orange - Distinguished members. They are the retired moderators.

Anyway, back to you! What's your favorite color? Favorite food? If a piece of furniture could describe you, which would you be?

It seems you everything has pretty much been explained.
I just wanted to introduce myself.
My username is ZaddieCaso but everyone calls me Izzy and I basically live on YWS.

I have to say its such a friendly site, I've never heard any racism or prejudice on here no matter how many opinions are being shared.

Again, if you want to go onto the instant chat it's just on the main page. I've made loads of friends on there, it's a great way to get to know people.

Hmmm... I have a lot of interests. I like to write (obviously) and I love to spend my spare time reading or studying foreign languages. I haven't written as much in the last few years as I would like to and I want to get back to it, which is why I joined this site. I've already read a handful of really amazing pieces, and it's inspiring.

And, er, I've never thought about being a piece of furniture.

Furniture is a tricky one

Mine would have to be my bed, it's soo comfy.

You study foreign langauges! Which ones?

I don't have any patience with foreign languages, my french teacher has given up hope on me : (
