I am just begining to write. As for generes and style when it comes to writing I dont know what mine is.

Not really sure what to say about myself. I have two sisters, one brother, a sister-in-law, and three neices. My dad is a long-haul truck driver and is gone for at least six weeks at a time. My mom is getting a BA degree in an online college.

Here are some few rules that are important ok...
1 2:1 ratio which is when someone writes a story or poem etc. and must write a 2 reviews.

2 No caps: NONE OF THIS it becomes annoying

3 No chat speak like ttyl or l8r.

4 Rate your work (R for cursing) Pretty self explanatory.

Most importantly is to have fun! Also be creative. What helps me to start writing is listening to my music. it inspires me.

Hiya and welcome!

SCL is right. This certainly is the best writing website out there.

A little more on the rules:

~ A "review" must be at least three lines long. The bonus is, the more you can be spesific about what you liked/disliked in a work, the better your own writing gets.

~ Some chatspeak, like "lol" and "brb" is perfectly fine. Usually if you're abreviating a term, such as Main Character (that becomes "MC") it's alright. We just ask that you take the time to spell proper words.

~ The only time you need R for cussing is if you use the f-word. Here is a content-rating guideline for you to look at. Also, should your work be G to PG-13 and you rate it, your work will show up on the front page of YWS!

What are some genres you enjoy reading? That's usually a good place to start when it comes to what genre you liked writing in. ^^

It's wonderful to meet you. ^-^ I hope it you're taking to YWS? It's very amazing here, so I'm sure you'll love it.

Apart from reviewing and posting work (which is what the site is for), there are several things you can do around the YWS.
