I'm a little lost here, but I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I just found this website today and decided to check it out. From some of the stories and poems that I've read here, I have to say that I'm a little scared to submit any of my work here. Everyone here is just so good and I don't think I'm as good as you guys are, so I'm feeling a bit intimidated. :oops: But, anyways, hi and I hope I can learn and grow here. :D

Hi. Welcome to YWS

If you are feeling scared about submitting work: Dont't worry about it. As long as it doesn't seem to offend people you should get it reviewed and given excellent feedback.

ANYWAY. The rules;

- 2:1 ratio (For every 1 Poem/story you post you review 2 others)

- Rate your work (G, PG, PG-13, or R)

- Don't use bad language (Unless it is in your poem/story, where you will rate it accordingly)

- Try and not use CAPS, because it gives the impression you are shouting at the person, and is just plain annoying to read.

And with that out of the way, feel free to PM me on any questions you may have on the site, or if you have anything which needs reviewing.

See you around!

Hi, i'm new too. I'm also nervous about what people will say about my stories, but I really want to know if people think they're good. Can't hurt to find out right?
I completely understand how you feel. I have read some stories here that are better than some books! I don't think I'm that good either but I want to at least try. So I hope you do too, and good luck!
Looking for someone who won't disappoint you?

Hi DreamingOutloud and Pretty Crazy! First of all, I just have to say . . . great choice of usernames!

There's not a thing to worry about when posting new work. Probably, the most important thing for you to know on this site is that there's no cht tlk. Capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and grammar are essential. If you have that, you will only really receive constructive criticism, and plenty of positive, too.

This site is for reviews of your work, so definitely don't feel discouraged if someone tells you your piece needs a bit of work. Be open to new ideas, and be willing to edit and revise your work. If you've achieved that much, this site will be a blast for you.

Have fun, and welcome to the Young Writers' Society!
