Anyway, I think you need to have a better angle and a different setting. The porch in the background detracts from the photo in my opinion. Try taking a different photo in an open area. (A backyard, A field...) Also, you could mess with the timing of the day.
I like how his/her eyes seem to glow, it looks cool. However, try to back away from your dog and take the picture. If you can, take off the flash. I know you had to because it was dark outside but, once again, try messing with the time of the day.
Anyway, if you decide to re-take he picture, I'll be back.
Hi!
I have to agree with all that Jon says.
Basically, the front white fur(I think it's called fur or is it coat?) is over-exposed. Theother parts of photo are under-exposed. You'll need a steady hand and be patient to focus you subject well.
The angle is good, except try including his mouth. It would look great if you do that and shoot properly at a better time.

Cute dog, though. ^_^
Hi Jon. No it wasn't dark. I edited the photo, I contrasted to make his eyes like that. I dont know anything about photgraphy I just wanted his eyes to be really blue and stand out
And thanks
