I'm one of those girls who if she'd not writing, she's going to explode. literally, I'm getting to the point where i randomly break down and start crying or screaming or something like that and i AM GOING CRAZY!
now that i have been labeled as that physco freak, time to get to my problem; writing helps keep my sanity in check. if i have a story to write. but for the last few months i will sit down and have nothing. i can't even write simple things, like my thoughts! I just go blank. it's horrible, like I'm empty or something. And even when i can think of something i can't keep with it for more than a few hours at max. then i realize how stupid and awful it is and I'm going to have to review it so much that i might as well start over and it really isn't that good an idea anyways and so why bother?
I REALLY need help to get back on track. I used to write everyday and now i can't even look at my computer because i know that even if i sit down, all it's going to do is make me angry and sad and freak out. any good hints on how to get rid of Writers block? even a few ideas would be good, just something to keep me from completely loosing it would be nice.

thanks for all your help, ANYTHING will do.

Well, when I get writers block, I usually think of a theme. Examples would include murder, romance, pain, sacrifice...etc Sometimes combining them is good. Then, I create a character without a story idea. Once I have an interesting main character I start creating a story around that character.

That's the basics to curing my writers block. It's not much, but I hope it helps.

Eep, hi pooka!

First thing: RELAX.

You will not get anywhere if you don't. Think of writing as fun, not as a life support!

Inspiration will come, possibly slowly, but it will come. Some people find that reading is the best way to overcome writers block, while others feel that picture prompts help more. Some even argue that a break from writing, just a walk or listening to music and whatnot helps as well.

I think it's about finding a medium. All of those methods worked for me some time or another, but often I find those useless when I encounter writers block again. Try something different. Play a new game, relax yourself. If your character is stuck on a decision, pretend you're the character. What would you do next?

Try some plot generators. Look at random pictures. Read something humorous. You never know what gets the inspiration flowing, but if you push it, it won't be as good or worth the stress in the end. ;)
