This picture was taken a couple of hours ago when I was going the the theatres with friends (The Hangover). This plant was part of the picture so I cropped it out becauseI liked the simple blance and vibrance of the plant with a blurry/glossy glass background. This picture was taken with other purposes in mind (facebook whoring!) plus it was taken with a cellphone so I was really pleased with the end result. :) see all smiles.

Eoin, right? I'm Jon!

I thought I would try to improve my art criting abilities.

I think you should crop this a little bit more so you can make it centered. In the picture I see a women and someone else. Also, the wording on the glass detracts from the beauty of the plant itself.

Have you tried to put it through Sepia or grayscale? I think you should mess with the colors on this.

To do it, go to www.photobucket.com If you don't have one, sign up! It is 100% free and you can store a bunch of your photos there and edit them with different things. It's really cool.

Anyway, like I said, I think you should mess with the colors a bit.

Jon made a good point about the altering of colors and such. This would be a far more powerful picture if it were cropped with less of the pedestal in the picture for the sake of balance. Not to mention, well, there is so much of be pedestal in the picture that it sort of takes a lot of the focus from the powerful plant and places it on the rather bland bottom.

Otherwise, I’m really shocked this is a camera phone picture. My cam is always so blur on my phone and every picture I take just looks bad. So a big congratulations there.

Honestly, this was an okay picture. :|

I liked it, the plant was beautiful, but there was too many distractions. I'd crop out the two people in the background to the right of the plant. Like Jon said, I'd mess with the scales on Photobucket. Also, the glass was really annoying to me. Otherwise, it was pretty great, you just need to cut out the distractions.

I really like LunaPic, the effects are inspiring to me. :D

yup it wasn't a serious picture. Just posted it up here for fun. It was croppped out from a picture taken with a cellphone. Just wanted to share a piece of natural beauty in a urban wasteland for you guys. :)
