Poem #26

Voice of my angel
lift me to
heaven,
for things
are too
earthly.
Words are
too sacred
for this
chapter
of life.
Death.
Got YWS?

You judge others upon their actions, but you judge yourself by your intention.

Poem #27

A Free Spirit

The days and nights you're by my side,
a picture hanging on the wall.
What if it were another way,
and you had your say at all?

Oh, that would be terrible!
A woman with a word to say?
How atrocious, mind-boggling;
how could you even think that way?

Put on your dresses, do be modest,
and those ankles are showing, oh your ankles!
Cover up, girl, don't you have any decency?
Oh the audacity! The injustice rankles!

Why oh why does the bluebird fly,
when it has no wings to soar?
It's been cut down too many times
until wings give out and it falls to the floor.

It's not your time, you see,
you must tend to the children, not me,
and stop trying to be something your not,
because freedom was never what was sought.

Let my rose go.
Where? I don't know.

Let my spirit be free,
riding the winds of humanity.

Allow me passage through
the heart of me and you.

Let the petals fly
over my head, right on by.

Let my rose go.
Where? I don't know.
Got YWS?

You judge others upon their actions, but you judge yourself by your intention.

Shadows

The darkness creeps behind me
moving ever so slowly.
It flits across my vision
and then is silenced by the unkown.
And it's watching, I swear it is
with all the danger in the world.
The black-cloaked night is coming
with its darkness that is shadows.
Got YWS?

You judge others upon their actions, but you judge yourself by your intention.

Poem #30

The Mark of Suffering

Don't throw your life away,
because please, it's too precious.
You only come and leave once,
and yes, you've left a mark.
The mark of suffering.

Oh why, oh why, why did you go?
First there were scars on your wrist,
then it moved down to your elbow.
You were sad, so very much,
but I was blind, can't you see?
I could never know your agony.
Yet what you did was unforgivable.
The mark of suffering.

I never knew you were capable of sin,
something that was so unforgiven.
You left us in tears and questions
of why you had to leave.
I knocked to see if anyone was home,
however, dead eyes told me you were all alone.
The mark of suffering.

I now know that you tried to run
from what was killing you inside.
You fought and raced with all your might,
but it wasn't enough, you could never hide.
Hence your fate was suicide.
The mark of suffering.
Got YWS?

You judge others upon their actions, but you judge yourself by your intention.
