Here is a picture of a... big cat. I just joined The Lion King Fan Art Archive, so I think I will be drawing a lot of african animals... because right now I only have one! So... Hope you like it. :D

Heh. Lion King eh?
Demeter is going to be all over this thread in no time XD

One thing I can point out for improvement is the hind legs.
The shadows can be a bit more prominent
For us to be able to clearly see that the back legs are bent.
In general, I can't do digital art but I thought this was good.
I wouldn't have mistaken this lion for a cat :D

Hello. I'm Colt! :P

Nice picture! I like it.

I agree with Meep(: about the shadows being more prominent.

The neck should be a bit skinnier, it looks way too fat.

It's right back leg and it's hoof bother me...I don't know why.

Otherwise, it's pretty wonderful! :P

Oh dear! This is well done. I am horrible at drawing animals myself. ;)
The hind legs look kind of funny. Follow what Meep said, and make sure the viewer can see the legs bent, other wise, it will look like it is not really connected.

I think you could also add some more shading in placed to give it more of a 3-D effect. I too am not a computer artist, but when drawing on paper, you always chose one focal point for shading and then shade according to the focal point. You actually did this fairly well.

The colours are well chosen and displayed making it blend and it does give it that African look, but it still looks more like a cat then a lion. But how can you really say that when lion's are indeed cats...

I really like the eye too. It adds that bemused expression and it makes me smile.

Good Job, and I hope to see more of your work.
