So, I'm trying to write a novel. Soon it will be finished, and just for fun, I want to consider some pseudonyms if I am going to publish.

*ahem* A pseudonym is: a fictitious name used by an author to conceal his or her identity; pen name. (Credit: dictionary.com).

Now, I don't want to necessarily conceal my identity, but I don't want my real name to be my author's name. I don't think it will pull in many readers.

So: can you people help me think of a pen name? For a female, a writer of primarily romantic and other fiction. One that might be recognizable as a fake name, but still holds on to the possibility of truth.

Thanks!

~Sunny

Hows about Amada Darrow? It means something like 'beloved oak tree'. It is very fun making up pseudonyms. I do it all the time, though I don't use any of them.
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

Or you could go to babynames.com.

Fumiyo for the the first name. This name means well-read generation and because you are spreading your writing to the public, you are in fact encouraging a "well-read generation".

*The Japanese name Fumiyo may be written with the characters for "sentence; literature; style; art; decoration" (fumi) and "generation; world; society; public" (yo).*

Why would anyone want to use a pen name? What's the point in concealing your real name and identity? I've never understood it.
I'm advertising here: Rosetta...A Determinism of Morality...out May 25th...2010 album of the year, without question.

Ava Coriander or, if you want to appear more masculine, Arlet Coriander, Arlay Coriander, and Cham Coriander. There is also the name Mirage and Cenedra, which you can use as 1st and last names.

Coriander means romance. Ava means like a bird. Arlet and Arlay both come from an East Indian spice. Cham comes from the word Chamomile. Mirage is an illusion or fantasy. Cenedra is like fantasy.

To be a master of metaphor is the greatest thing by far. It is the one thing that cannot be learnt from others, and it is also a sign of genius.
