Starts out: Orchard owner's daughter walking down a row of trees....Sees a stranger...Blah, blah, blah.
Anyways, this is probably my first attempted story having anything to do with 'romance'. So mind me if most of it is stupid/corny/cliche. Possiblility I'll continue it, but chances are that I won't. And I'm still writer's blocked... I know most of it is not good, and there are a few mistakes in sentence structure (its as told by a really paranoid girl) and its unrevised. Scrap it apart if you want, but not too much. I don't want to know how bad this writer's block is. (I've had it for like a month.)
Pre phrase:
I wasn’t sure what came over me back then- was it sinful lust, or true love? Believing in love at first sight is a fool’s prospect, but I didn’t believe in it….Did that mean I am still the mindless young woman for acting so towards a certain intriguing individual? I hope not. It all started on an autumn’s evening-Orange and red leaves danced about, as was, I strolled down a tree lined lane, only to pause when a man appeared. He seemed too mysterious; I’d though what would be the harm in exchanging a few words? How could a mindless urge lead me here where I am today?
Chapter One: The Stranger
His eyes glazed with sparkles, he leaned forward, as if for a kiss. My heart paced, I wanted to slap him in the face, flee, or drop dead. At the last moment, he jerked, and put his lips against my ear. If I was going to drop dead-May this be the time to do so. But unexpectedly, he murmured softly “, have you ever wanted to just drift away without any more burden? Perhaps just run away from it all?” He breathed on my ear, and I became rather uncomfortable, even starting to sweat. I couldn’t say no to his question, though, reality is tough, and filled with burden…..To simply drift away would be wonderful….
I snapped out of the train of thought, and said sternly “, so….” His eyes narrowed, and his face turned into a curious expression the mix between disappointment and anticipation. I couldn’t help but stare helplessly into his eyes, even if I wanted dearly to look away. After several uncomfortable moments, my thoughts calmed, and I answered “,I’d be a liar if I said no….Of course sometimes I wish dearly to just get away from the twist s and turns of reality, as like many other people…..But seriously, why’d you ask that?” Once again, he gazed intensely into my eyes, and I felt suddenly very small. For a moment, I thought I saw a look of contemplation in his eerie eyes. I finally forced my eyes to look away, but I kept glancing back at him unintentionally. I knew he is trouble. I’m not sure….His presence is too overwhelming, and at the same time-He’s simply enamoring. He has a certain grace with every moment, like no other human, but at the same time, he seemed mischievous…Because I don’t think any guy ever teases a lady like that (relating to when he acting although he was going to kiss me….And in all truth, I wasn’t going to dodge the unsuspected onslaught…)
For a moment, my eyes wandered to the surrounding scenery, where rows of orange-leaved trees were swaying about in the breeze, to the fact that everything was too quiet. Not a soul in sight. I gulped, as my mind exploded into many questions.
Should I make a run for it?
Should I succumb to his charms?
Should I just ask who he happened to be? Why someone like him is bothering with such a plain woman?
While nothing about me seemed attractive- curve-less, round nosed…..All I could think that was remotely attractive would be my light-brown hair that wasn’t quite thick or straight, just wavy and shiny. Even most girls had better hair then me, sadly. If he happened to be a pervert, shouldn’t he go after the ‘good ones?’ After all, he is handsome, though just too complicated-A closed book. I know I shouldn’t just a book by its cover; he could be some idiot with a couple good lines, and an incredibly good set of features. But….My eyes couldn’t betray themselves-His stance, his strangely un-creepy grin, and the look in his eyes….They seemed to be no other color then a rich emerald, but other than that, the beautiful stars themselves seemed to have been stored inside his eyes….
I scoffed almost too loudly. Stars in his eyes? Well, to me, that seemed like the case.
Suddenly, a wonderful sound came drifting into my ears-His laughter. It wasn’t forced, or too loose, at all, not manly or childish. To me, such an incredible man shouldn’t exist. I felt my breath get stuck, and I wanted to just faint on the spot-But a strong will kept me upright, though feeling very weak. Finally the sound stopped, and for a perverse reason, I felt very gloomy after he stopped. Did I finally get that incredible imagination I’ve always wanted? This man had to be some sort of creation of the greedy human mind-Though, he seemed much more beyond that. He didn’t seem like any the guys I’ve imagined, or seen. Sometimes, humans often believe that different people should be outcasts, but this man….Would probably be ‘the rival’ to every male around him, while woman would probably go to great lengths to discover who he is. Or everyone would be too angry about how astounding he is compared to everyone else in this world.
Of course, that could be all in mind, and he is simply an average person to everyone else.
Yes, he is just a very strange figure, created by my mind.
I finally spoke up after a few moments after he laughed “.okay, so I presume you to be something akin to a hallucination, or perhaps a random character in a dream?” I fully didn’t belief my words. A wide grin spread on his face, and he had a look screaming ‘whatever you say.’ I frowned, and crossed my arms angrily. Yep, he wasn’t an object of my imagination. My imagination isn’t that amazing. Then, his wonderful smile disappeared as he said grimly and absolutely “; you have to leave this place. Without delay.” I was shocked. How could he just say so many different things? I can’t just go away….And anyways, there’s no reason to do so….But how dare he just pop out of nowhere, and try to seduce me from leaving! I exploded “, Why should I leave at all! My life as a average orchard tender. And you just appear, ask if I’ve ever wanted to go away, laugh, and to top that off, seriously try to make me leave?” I could tell my face was flushed, since I am absolutely fuming. In response, his face evolved into the most devastating expression I’ve ever known. He turned away from me, and I gasped out. Why do I feel although I’ve done something really horrible…..The worst thing in my life. Pivoting his head a bit to the side, he spoke his final words “,I see….Its your life no matter what you will pay witness to in the future….You will come to your senses, I suppose…”

It was obvious-He pitied me, although something bad is really going to happen. If this was some sort of ploy, he was acting too well. I wanted desperately to believe the devastated man, but I knew, he could be one of those slave traders from Ne’Vawn, maybe he’s trying to hold me hostage, so Father would be forced to turn over the deed to the farm…. My eyebrows furrowed, as I said ominously
“ Okay, so who would you be? Some person to do the dirty work of the Baron Ligulwn, so he could own more things just because to make everyone feel his power? Or maybe your some Doppelganger who takes the form of whatever would be most effective of luring humans away, to soon feast on their souls, I suppose?”
I couldn’t believe most of the things blurting from my mouth, but I just couldn’t trust any stranger these days….No matter how amazing he may be. To my distress-And relief, he turned towards me. And he had a wide grin on his fair face. At that moment, I felt my face burn even more. “If I was driven solely self emotion, I would take you away from the mortal danger now…But sadly, I am moral-bound, all beings who have thought deserve a opinion-Even if it may be to a other’s distress.” My mouth gaped in shock. Mortal danger? And that he’d take me away right now if he was driven by emotion? At anyone’s prospects, I should believe him, but he could just be acting sad just to make me go with him-But wouldn’t he and his (imaginary) thugs jump me from the trees, and tie me up? My thoughts would probably drone on whether I should trust the man or not….
Once again, he turned away, but this time, he just started walking away….

I moved my mouth, trying to squeak out ‘,don’t go,’ but I just couldn’t. But, I need to know his name at least….

“Wait! May I hear your name at least?” He paused, but didn’t look back.
“I won’t speak my true name, but you may call me Jay.”
