Blessed is your face
Blessed is your name
My beloved
Blessed is your smile
Which makes my soul want to fly
My beloved
All the nights
And all the times
That you cared for me
But I never realised it
And now it’s too late
Forgive me

Now I’m alone filled with so much shame
For all the years I caused you pain
If only I could sleep in your arms again
Mother I’m lost without you

You were the sun that brightened my day
Now who’s going to wipe my tears away
If only I knew what I know today
Mother I’m lost without you

You went and left me
O light of my eyes
O comfort of my nights
You went and left me
Who, other than you, will embrace me?
Who, other than you, will cover me?
Who, other than you, will guard over me?
Your pardon mother, forgive me

This is already a song.
The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid, and deeds left undone.

I really liked this poem, it was akward in a couple of spots with the rhyming but overall very good. The only major issue I had with it was a lack of puncution. I was guilty of this too in a lot of my early poems but you realize how much easier it reads when you have full stops and commas at the end of lines. But i felt a great deal of channeled raw emotion which I really liked, and the repetition worked really well. You have talent. keep writing

Hi, It's praisejoe here. It's some one's poem alright and you weren't aware that you couldn't post someone else's poem, but i actually love this poem and the message behind it is very touching. I guess It's about a child who didn't appreciate her mother while she was still with him and lived to regret her departure when she left. It was very emotional and touching. But punctuation was a problem and this was what affected my very first poem 'the caring mother' (you can check it out on lyric poetry). It is important you add the appropraite punctuations at the end of the lines. Ummmh you know what, since this is not your poem why don't you consider writing one with a similar message? If you do PM me, I'll love to see it. Thanks
