Streamlining the website.

In my opinion, the website is too bulky. It takes usually 4-5 seconds to load a page, and while it sounds like I am nitpicking, it does influence my browsing patterns. And while I am using a rather old laptop, I run a linux distro (Ubuntu), so it isn't like I'm having Vista suck up all my speed.

I believe the main page could be edited slightly, to just show the news and your profile button. You don't have to get rid of everything else like the quote of the day and all, but maybe just place them somewhere else.

I apologize if I sound like I am whining, I just wanted to bring it up.

I have some of the same problems. My computer is impossibly slow [somethings wrong with the connection card] and this website takes forever to load.

Nate is completely rearranging the site, if you didn't know. Check out his Blog or the information desk for info.
I think it's scheduled for early next year, but I'm not completely sure.
But anyway, changes are being made. Don't panic.

My internet loads everything pretty quickly actually.
