I am currantly working on a whole seiries. I got the end of each a bit of the middel, but I have no Idea how to explain where my character came from without piontless pausing, and I am stuk on names. How do you find a name for a charater

Depends on what you're writing. If it's fantasy, either make the names up or misspell common names. :) If it's a science fiction, pretty much the same thing. But if it's a realistic fiction, common names are best.

Baby name dictionary or, my personal favorite: Behindthename.com . Awesome site. Lists meanings, famous bearers, has stats, and is completely searchable.

As for SpecFic names, I tend to like coming up with languages to base my names on - but that's only really useful if you're into the intense world building. For a short cut, look up the IPA (international phonetic alphabet: a list of all the phonemes and possible phonemes in human languages) pick out a few of the pronunciations you like, and then mix and match. Gives a bit more audial consistency to the names, and if you pick different phonemes for each of your cultures or "races" it gives the illusion of a supporting language.
