Never Again
Never Again will she go on walks with me.
Never Again will she escort me to the car on my way to school.
I Never Again will be able to call her name and she comes.
Never Again will she accidentally bite my thumbs,
As I stand there and try to hide the stick I got from the tree,
She’s such a smart dog, and she always manages to see
Where I hide it anyway.
Never Again will she lay by my side,
And now as I go to sleep I cry.
Just at the thought of never seeing her again.
My dear, sweet dog Roxie,
She is so faithful.
Whoever will soon own her,
I hope they are capable,
Of seeing her true beauty,
As muddy as she may become.
Even if she runs away once or twice,
May she always return back to her new home.
I really do love her,
And miss her I shall,
My dear, sweet dog Roxie,
May she every time know how,
Know just how to comfort you,
However you may feel.
Her deep companionship is never fake,
It always is real.
I give you my own blessings,
Right now they’re in disguise.
And even though I’m still crying,
Still wiping the tears from my eyes,
May you consistently be a great owner,
And may I not be a regretful donor.
Roxie, dear, sweet Roxie,
Love you forever she will.
