Hi Everyone!

My name is Megan and I was born and raised in Beijing China! My Dad is American and my Mom is from Beijing, so I'm one of those identity crisis ridden bicultural children!

um... my favorite authors are Jack London and Margaret Atwood, but I'm also a total potter head :O

I go to an international school, so I seem to have huge gaps in my education when it comes to grammar and spelling, so it would be great if someone could tell me where I can get some tips on that.

Also, apparently I need to review two pieces of writing before I can post anything so how do I do that???

Hi there!

Welcome to YWS!

So, how to make a review.. To make a review is to simply comment/critique works of other people. That's it. If you want to be informed about the other rules, please read the rest of the rules and also the FAQ. This will help you out a lot.

If you have any further concerns, feel free to PM me!

Enjoy and have an AWESOME time!

See ya around!

Welcome to YWS Megan! You're definitely one of the most interesting people I've met here. Beijing you say? Have you been watching the Olympics? I've been watching them on TV and they're incredible. Especially that opening ceremony.

And go Potter Heads! =P We have a lot of Potter fans here as well as the haters so watch out for them ^.~

If you need anything, help, a critique, just PM me or leave a message in my guestbook. I'll do what I can and if I can't help I'll direct ya towards someone who can =)

Welcome to the family,
Lupe

Hey welcome to the site. You sound pretty interesting, being from different cultures is actually quite exciting I'd have though (although I'm actually just British one side and the other ^_~) because you can get an insight from the inside about two different countries. I think that'd be good!

As for the reviews, just go to the writing section and have a look around. All the responses to peoples' writing are reviews, so just do what they do and you'll have it.

Nice to meet you anyway ^^

sup 8)

go to the top, to where it says writing. a few items whould appear if your curser is on it. just click "read and review". there will be a list of different types of stories. just pick one, pick a story, read through it, then write a review. be careful, though. smaller reviews wont be counted

Dude. You're automatically awesome if you're from China.

Reviewing is so easy. Don't fret about it. All you have to do is read a poem or story, and then tell them what you liked and disliked about it, and how they can make it better. That's all a review is.

Anyway. You know the rules. ;) 2 reviews to every 1 story you post. You know. Like the rice ratio.

(And it's not very wise to post your full name on the internet. Just warning you.)

Just write -- the rest of life will follow.

Would love help on this.

Ni hao! I don't speak Chinese, but I will be learning it in a few years if all goes well.

First I'd like to say that I edited your post because you used your last name. It might seem simple, but never give out your full name online, and it might even be better if you didn't use your first name, but that isn't as big a deal. To be safe, don't give out your last name. :) But I removed it for you, so no worries about the creepy people finding you!

Now then. Welcome to the YWS! If you have any questions or need help with something, feel free to PM me. I am a moderator so I'm good at answer questions!

Have fun. :D

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all the tips! and thanks to Suzanne for removing my name. Yeah, I didn't even realize I posted my last name, until you guys mentioned it :O and then I didn't know how to go about removing it. Lol, I feel stupid now.

And about the China thing. Yeah... I get that alot. The Olympics are great though!! :D I've been to a bunch of events. Did you guys watch the opening ceremony? I could see the fireworks from the building I was in! Exciting!!
