This is Brashares' first adult fiction novel. She handles it as well as she did The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. I think better.

The characters are so real, so tangible, so lovely that I wanted to join the story with them and live life with them. I wanted to have sex with Paul, too. Haha. It was amazingly well done, and this book has been a major source of inspiration ever since I read it. I admire her even more now.

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you.
