Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

I just finished rereading Little Women and Good Wives, and I cried so much!

These books don't really need much of an introduction, you're bound to know that I'm talking about the March Sisters.

But honestly! Don't you love them? And which are you most like, Meg, Jo, Beth or Amy? I'm mostly Jo, but I have bits of Meg and Amy in me too...

It was the first time since the Book Thief I've started crying in earnest during a book. The annoying thing was, I knew what was going to happen and I still cried when... you know...

Haven't read Little Women yet. Plan to, though, especially since it's on the summer reading list for me.

No, I don't know what happened, but I have a pretty good idea. So, how did you like it? And which are you most like, anyway?

I read it, it was so, so touching!! I think I'm most like Jo, with bits of Amy.
Have you read Good Wives?

Yes, but it seems to me that people refer to Little Women and Good Wives collectively as "Little Women", so I just said that

I was so sure Jo was going to fall for Laurie in the end, and when he was already married she'd be really sad. When he told her about Amy, I was waiting for her to burst into tears. Glad she didn't though, it makes it all so much brighter. [/spoiler]

I'm the second of four girls, and both my mom and my older sister have been Little Women fans as far back as I can remember. It took me till the summer after my eighth grade year to finally read it, though, and I loved it. I love sibling dynamics; they're so fun.

[spoiler]I cried like a baby when Beth died. I knew it was coming, because I had seen the movie before I read the book (which I never do; it was so weird), but it was still so sad.[/spoiler]
