Hi,
I'm new to this site, but certainly not new to writing. I came out of my mother holding a pen, not literally of course. I really want people to read my work. I am thinking about posting one, it is very personal but I feel a need to get it out. It is very well written if I do say so myself. I hope to stay on this site for a while. It seems like fun!

I'm relatively new here myself, but I can testify that it is addictive!!!

Take a look at the user groups, they're really great and there are tonnes to join, and people are generally helpful and give good constructive criticism if you post your work.

But don't forget to give other people some helpful reivews too!

What sort of things do you like to write? Short stories? Novellas? Novels? Poetry?

I mostly like to write novels and short stories. I have only summited one thing, which was non-fiction, but I guess that is kind of like a novel. What about you?

About that personal writing of yours. I just want to assure you that it's safe here on YWS. There is a zero percent chance of anyone stealing your work. Also, even if your work is very personal, you don't know anyone here in real life (unless you do--lol, that made no sense). No one will know it was *really* you! Be free with your writing.

Just letting you know about the wonderful YWS. Also, if you ever need anything (critique, etc..), you know who to PM/e-mail!

After you get 25 reviews, you can access the YWS chatroom and talk about any work you're doing, ask for crits for anything, ask anyone if they have something they want/need critted, and/or just hang out in and talk about your day.
