Hey everyone. I'm new here. (duh.)
I like to write stories (not so good at short ones, novel length mostly) poems (I'm horrible at them, but I love them anyway.) and songs (again, horrible).
My penname is stupid, so you can call me Elise.
I love fantasy, and modern-day fantasy, and fantastical stuff that happens in every day life that just makes you go, "Oh, yeah!" :)
I love photomanipulation, I have a deviantart account. My dA name is Remember~the~Light. :)
I write guys best, even though I'm a girl. I love angsty stuff *ducks when everyone throws vegetables at her* and writing familial relationships, such as father/son, brother/sister, brother/brother....etc. Fluffy! *ducks again*
I like dramatic though, too. I like writing romance, unless it's hard-core or to lovey-dovey. Teenage puppy-love is fun to write. :)

I'll probably post a poem or a story soon, if I can get up the courage, so be on the lookout! :)

Welcome to YWS Elise!

You sound exciting. And! I write for guys too. We actually (I actually) just created a user group for people like us! The Gender Benders. *giggles* Perhaps you should consider joining, and add to our amazing collection of goofy people?

If you have any questions about the site or need help finding something, or anything in general, feel free to reply with your question here, or Pm me. :) Do you also read fantasy stories?

I'm not much for fantasy so I can't say I will ever read anything by you! But I might. You never know, I'm a funny person like that.

In any case, I hope you enjoy YWS and find it to your liking. It really is an amazing site.

oh, and because I'm an advertisement harlot, we just published our first Literary Journal. Would you like to buy a copy? *points to Advertisement Button at the top of every page* only US$ 14.95!

Hi there! Allow me to be the [s]first[/s] second to welcome you. Well, you don't really have a choice, do you?

Anyway, I'm Niteowl. Just so you know, you're supposed to review two things before you post one. There's some other rules/helpful hints in the FAQ and User Guides, as well as the Rules posted in each literary forum.

I think there's a group for girls who write from guy's perspectives, so you might want to check it out.

Now, without further ado, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's Charlie!!!!!!

NITEOWL, THE VOWELS AND THE EXCLAMATION POINTS ARE MY GIG!

Well, I invented you, and I'm the typist, so technically, they're my gig as well.

Wow, you guys are funny! And so cool! I'll think about joining that group. Sounds fun. *giggles*. Yes, Suzanne, I do, though I haven't read anything here yet.
And about the Journal...I'm broke. Completely broke. Sorry! :(
Wow, ya'll are so nice.
I can't wait to start posting. I'm a bit of an RPG junky, so if anyone knows a good fantasy one, let me know. :)
Thanks, you guys are so cool!

Yay, more fantasy writers! Confetti time! *confetti confetti* It seems that a lot of people either write speculative fiction... or don't. That probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but... a lot of the people here who read fantasy also write it, so you'll get a lot of good feedback from the people who frequent that section (and even people who don't). I love reviewing, so send me a PM if you ever want a review.

I'm reading "How to Write Science Fiction and Fantasy" by Orson Scott Card at the moment, and I think it's the best writing book I've ever read. I would highly recommend it.

I added you to my watch list on DeviantArt, by the way. Good stuff!
