Hey everyone!

I'm Kevyn. I guess I've always written things. I can recall doing fan fiction in my late single digit years and that leading into poetry in 2002 when I was twelve. That was around the time I became enthralled with music. I've progressed as a writer in the last six years I feel (and hope). My main hobby is writing poetry but I've been meaning to get back into the world of short-stories especially since I'm taking a creative writing course currently.

Woo! CW courses are awesome! And poetry is amazing. Really. Short-stories are much more difficult (of course, as one who generally claims to be a poet, I may be a bit biased).

Welcome to YWS! ^_^ You're picked a great community and I'm sure you'll get lots of helpful feedback. Just remember the 2:1 rule for reviews and work and you should do just fine. (2 reviews per 1 work you put up. But reviewing a lot is a great idea, the more active you are on the boards the more people will notice you and your work. ^_^)

I'm no so good at reviewing poems, but none the less if you find yourself in need of a critique, you can always PM me. The same goes for if you have any questions about the site or about writing.

I'm a big music fan as well. What instrument(s) do you play? I'm taking piano lessons, and I used to take violen. There's a usergroup for band geeks you might be interested in. To join, go to "Groups" which is under "community".

Poetry, eh? I must say that prose is my preferred method of writing, but I dabble occasionally here and there into haiku and some random genre poetry. I do not claim to be an expert in any way, shape or form, so don't expect any grand critiques from me on your work. More likely it will be "Nice poem. Rhythm was great. Peace out."

Now, post something in prose and that will be different. *rubs hands together evilly* Good luck with your creative writing courses. I'd like to read some of your work!
