So far, we've gotten three reports of people posting their story, clicking submit, then it not going through. Apparently it will post, but when they click on the link to it, nothing is there.

I've tried to do it to myself, but it's working for me. So if it happens to you, please post the following here:

1. The title of it
2. Where you tried to post it (dramatic poetry, fantasy, etc.)
3. What browser you are using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari)

Thank you, and sorry about this. I have no idea what the problem is, but if it happens to you and you provide me with as much info as possible, then hopefully I'll be able to fix it.

And of course, always take the precaution of saving your stuff to your computer first regardless of whether there is a bug or not.

EDIT:

Do this if your post disappeared:

To find your disappearing post, go to:

1. My YWS
2. Scroll down to "My Stuff"
3. Click on "My Saved Drafts & Posts"

Yeah! YWS is not a word processor!

This happened to a newbie I was talking with. At the time I didn't realize it was a bug, so I will have to pm her a link to this thread. What was most bothersome is that she lost points because of it, and didn't realize what it wasn't there etc, etc. But she's a good cookie and was fine with it all. :D

Hahahaha. I'm such a reject. I read this thread, was aware of the bug and the issues, but had this mad urge to fix the lines of a poem with a new line that came to me. So it dissapeared. xD No worries, I've at least saved mine.

Name: Such is Poetry
Forum: Other Poetry
Browser: Internet Explorer

P.S: this is totally looking like an IE problem thus far. xD
I like you as an enemy, but I love you as a friend.

[s]Can y'all also provide the approximate time that it happened?

Also, where all these new topics you were trying to make, or posts to old topics or just editing a topic?

Also, where there any replies to the topic?[/s]

Figured it out. Nothing went away. What happened was the topic or post got saved as a draft. I'm guessing not everyone hit the 'save as draft' button, so maybe there's something wrong in the code.

If it is a code, there is another problem people were noticing. The bold, italics, etc buttons are not working. I went through all of them yesterday and none are working, so it could likely be a code problem. Sorry if you already knew that?

Okie dokie, locking this thread for now. The problem is still happening, but it's an easy fix for people to do. I'll keep on working on trying to figure it out though.

To find your disappearing post, go to:

    1. My YWS
    2. Scroll down to "My Stuff"
    3. Click on "My Saved Drafts & Posts"

You'll see your missing post right away!

You walk into this room at your own risk, because it leads to the future, not a future that will be but one that might be. This is not a new world, it is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace.
