Hi

I just joined about ten minutes ago and i'm kinda looking for someone to know.

Background

I first realized my love for reading in year 3 when out of nowhere "Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone" appeared on our reading shelves. But I wasn't the first to get to it. Another boy in class grabed it and started reading. He got bored on the first page and gave it to me. Since he had gotten bored on the first chapter I skiped to chapter two and loved it. My dad had every HP book so far so i carried on reading.

I realized my writting talent when I won a school award when we had to write a page to go after another in a book. I carried on writting, but only ever got to page twelve or so because I got bored of each idea. I do believe I have only just found the perfect idea.

Hiya Fang and welcome to YWS!!

YWS is a great place to get your writing career started.

If you need anything at all then feel free to pm me; you can also use the buddy system that we have. The thread for that is here in the 'Welcome' forum. Everyone here is really friendly so don't be afraid to ask questions!

My advice for a new comer is just to read the FAQ's and Guide. That way you'll be up to date with how everything works.

All the best,
Alainna

You're like me, i never really get far with my stories. I start out loving the idea, and then i just over think it way too much, and i start getting bored with it, and end up moving onto another idea.

It sucks how fast i get bored with an idea.

But this place is great, it will help you out a lot. I'm pretty new my self and it's helped me tons.

So welcome to the site.

I hope you stay active :)

Lol. Harry Potter's what got me too! ^_^ I eat 600 page books for breakfast now. No cool awards for me though. I'm a little shy when it comes to sharing my writing. =P

As for getting bored with ideas, the trick is not to think about it--at least that's my trick. I like to play the story out like a movie in my head, but it ends up being like a movie you just watched. Why write it all down when you've already seen it? So over-thinking is out. I think that's worse though if finding an idea you think is great and dropping it because you came up with a newer better idea. It sucks to think about how into the idea you were only to have dropped it suddenly. =P

*realizes she is rambling* I've forgotten to say welcome. =P Hi! Welcome to our awesome site. I love it here. Be sure to give lots of reviews and put up your work to get reviews. ^_^ If you find yourself in need of a review just PM me!

^_^ Keek!
I'm like that song stuck in your head; I come and I go, but never truly dissapear.

And apparently I also write a blog.

Hi! HP fan eh? Well, I can't say it's what got me onto reading and writing, I fell in ove with the first picture book ever read to me, but I'm sure we'll get along juuuusssst fine.

I'd say, you know "If you need anything" but I'm probably not the person to ask.

I hardly ever finish my stories either. Don't worry!

I think it's ironic however, that you mispelt "Writing". Sorry, that didn't mean to come over insulting, it was just a comment (considering spelling "just" in this sentence took me three goes).

Ok well, I'm not a HP fan anymore because I got bored of it last year.
I guess I like writing Fiction, Fantasy, Adventure that kind of stuff.

Thanks for welcoming me. I'm trying to get another eview on so i can post my new story.
