Truth about Truth
What good is the truth,
When wind howls against the window?
What good is reality,
when lightning strikes in the distance?
In the middle of the night,
can you curl up with the truth?
Can the cold face of reality,
comfort your soul?
When you want to escape,
to be free of all limitations,
can pureblood honesty
satisfy it?
Truth lacks the warm comfort
that we crave, the comfort of a lie.
For that is what a story is;
A lie.
Truth is cold, unforgiving, harsh.
It is made of the things we fear,
and memories we'd rather
forget.
No one wants to
wake up to the truth,
We want to remain bundled in a lie forever,
But at some point in time,
we must accept
the truth.
I wrote this yesterday, its not too good, but i like the idea, so how can I make it better, once again, be brutal. Thanks!
