Not at all, the whole 'Son of God' thing could well be something that was added into his story by a third party. I'm saying Jesus existed and he did good things. It is possible that he did consider himself the son of God, I don't know, I wasn't there. It is also possible that his story has been taken and distorted, so as to provide a basis for Christianity. I get the feeling he was very much like a 'Princess Diana' figure. She had a huge influence on the lives of millions, yet no-one's claiming she was God's daughter, nor did she believe as much.

Okay, I was a bit vague in my definition of what a Christian is. The early church actually wrote up a complete definition, if you would care to look it up. All I was really trying to say about the whole 'relationship with God' thing is that it isn't going through the motions that saves you, it is by grace through faith, but the Bible says, "As the body without the Spirit is dead so faith without deeds is dead" So in other words, if you are a Christian than your life will reflect such by an open relationship with God an constantly trying to do right in His eyes.

Do you want my opinion on this? Well, if not- don't read this next part. That's not what I meant by a relationship with God I meant a personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ. Who decides what a relationship with God is though? Why I suppose that would be God Himself

So Clicky I have a question for you. You said in an earlier post, "Firstly, I think being good is being comfortable with yourself and not feeling guilty about things. If one feels guilty about something then one isn't being good. Secondly, I think hurting people (emotionally or physically) is bad. I think making people happy is good."

But if there is no God, then why would it matter to do good or bad? Eventually You and the mass murderer are going to end up in the same place.

This is probably a correct statement, as all my previous posts have been made with me believe the post @ the top of the 2nd page was the first post.

Kepe - [spoiler]I am hereforth stopping my discussion in this topic. I do not wish to get ugly and debate about this subject any further. I wrote a long paragraph explaining why I no longer wish to discuss this with you but it may have been somewhat offensive. In short, I do not believe you are open-minded enough to have a discussion with. I feel as if I have probably already offended you enough which is not my intentions whatsoever.
