Where am I?

First of all, just kidding, I know where I am . But now that I've got you reading...

I'm Arion. Well, I'm actually two Arion's...One as a character, one as a person. You can talk to the person first...

Hey! Yeah, so, I guess I came here to talk to other writers and get feedback, and critique, and...well, probably become obsessed with this place to the point of staying up all night and not writing as much as I should. I'm a senior, but still consider myself a writer first (is that bad?). I wake up at five so I can write without distraction, which I think is pretty cool because that's when I get most of my stuff done. The book I'm writing right now is called Killing Butterflies, it's pretty cool. I'll let the main character tell you about it...she's bugging me to let her talk...

UGH! Finally. She just goes on, and on, and on sometimes! I'm the main character of Killing Butterflies, Arion. and I am NOT dead. I'm in a coma, and apparently, there's some difference in the outcome. I can't really tell you much more without spoiling something, all I can say is you should read my story...eventually. If lazy Arion ever posts it. She's afraid it won't be "up to par" or something weird like that.

And don't worry about the story being up-to-par-- that's what we're here for. Just get the plot how you think you want it, and we'll handle the [s]atrocious[/s] grammar mistakes and [s]horrible[/s] punctuation errors. Just joking- I'm sure you'll do fine.

First off, that's not bad you consider yourself a writer first. Personally, I think they should go hand-in-hand. Though I'm not a senior myself, so I guess I shouldn't be talking. ^^; Anyway- if waking up at 5 is good for you, and you keep to that schedule for writing stuff, there's nothing at all the matter with that.

So, what do you like to write? I guess I could ask "What genre is Killing Butterflies?" and I'd get the same answer, wouldn't I? ^.^ Me, I like fantasy and fanfiction. Sci-Fi and Action/adventure rank right up there, too, especially if it involves dragons!! he he...

Hah. I'm glad you enjoyed our squabble. It happes quite often, Arion is a control freak (speak for yourself). I was.

Anyways, Killing Butterflies...hmm...it's hard to place in any one genre. It's YA, that much is certain, but other than that it's a mix of reality, fantasy, religion (or crisis of faith. It's not preachy), and butterflies. Hehe. I guess that's the only stable thing about the story, the reoccuring theme of butterflies, especially since Arion is a type of butterfly (papilo arion), and it takes place in what's been called the Butterflies Nest (Not literally...it's the kind of thing that calls for explanation...or actual reading of said novel), and one of the first things you learn is that Arion hates nervous butterflies in her stomach and descibes them as having "razorblade wings".

I just hit my funnybone. Ow.

Thanks for the welcome! I cant wait to start posting, but apparently I have to cirtique first (which sucks because we all know that nobody listens to the insane ongoings of a newbie).

Oooh, butterflies! I hope you post your work-in-progress, 'cause I'm looking forward to reading it; it sounds like a combination of all of the things (or, a lot of the things) that I love reading about.

Anyway~ I'm Meep, and like you, there's real!Meep (ie: me) and character!Meep (ie: not!me, aka her), though I'm not writing anything about character!Meep (other'n a play-by-post game with a friend).
