Hello! My name is Chris and just finished signing up for this site! I'm 16, and am from New York. I discovered this site when searching on Google for a site that was both a place to post writing, and to receive feedback. After fishing through many sites, I stumbled across this place, and it seems to be great!

I am primarily a lyrical poet, as my ultimate passion in life is music. Though sometimes I *attempt* to write short stories, generally in a sci-fi esque vein. For those who care to know, I am a fan of many musical genre's (except for hip-hop and country) although my primary area of interest is Progressive Rock, and fans of bands such as Pink Floyd (of course), early Genesis, King Crimson, and Porcupine Tree(amongst others.)

There is plenty else, but I think this seems to be enough for now. I can't wait to start reading and posting!

Hey, fellow New Yorker! I'm from Rochester...yes, fun, western NY.

Anyway, welcome to YWS! Are you a German student? There are a bunch of people here who are into foreign language. I am not one of them, but I'm sure a few of them will pop in and say hi when they see your subject line.

Looking forward to seeing you in the poetry forums!

Hey, there!

I like your icon. We both seem to have Wizard of Oz in mind right now, ne? (I'm guessing your icon is a reference to the infamous "Dark Side of the Rainbow"?)

Anyway~ hello and welcome to YWS. I hope you enjoy your stay, and please check out the buddy system!

Many thanks for the welcome! Always good to see a friendly community...

Cade: Heh, sorry, I aint' exactly a fan of German. I took it in school and a bunch of German phrases were drilled into my head from my teacher, so I just sort of use them commonly now. I probably would have liked it a lot better if I was actually decent in that class. I would really love to learn a new language, but it doesn't appear to be my thing!

Meep: Heh, odd we both have the Oz in us! And yes, the rainbow is in tribute to that excellent piece of art we know as Dark side of the moon!

Thanks again for the welcome, can't wait to see you guys in the forums!

Guten Tag! Du kommst aus New York? Prima!

Hahah, do not expect me to say much in German. I am only a poor, unlively first year. My French is much more fluent. Je parle bien en Française.

Anyhow. To the usual. Welcome to YWS, and I do hope you have a wonderful time wandering about the site. If you have any questions or need help with something, feel free to PM me. [Though, I'm still slightly on vacation, so you may have better luck PMing someone else. ^_^]

Enjoy yourself!

Hey! Welcome to YWS. I know that you'll love it here.

I'm BBB, Bigbadbear, or Jared. Whatever floats your boat.

You write lyrics, eh? *have tried but fails miserably*

So...if you do write short stories, be sure to post them, because I'll be able to help you there. xD.

Well, if you have any questions or want a critique, be sure to send a PM my way. I'll gladly do it!

Keep posting and reviewin'!
