Hello twistedclocks! I'm the amazingly wonderful gyrfalcon ;), and welcome to YWS! What kind of writing and reading do you like to do? I'm a scifi/fantasy bird myself, but I guarantee you'll find every possible taste represented here. Just shoot me a PM if you have any questions, darling, and a most Merry Christmas!

Hey, Twisted :P

I may not be from Aussie, but I certainly like the area... from what I know of it *whistles*

I personally like fantasy//action/adventure, as well as particular fanfictions. And I know how it feels just starting out writing- I offer my assistance whenever you need it. Just drop me a line and I'll see how I can help!

Your name makes me think of Dali's melting clocks. Was that your intent?

Anyway, why doncha tell us a little more about yourself. What do you like to read/write? Any particular favorite genre?

Oh, I can definitely help you with that, Twisted! Especially if you like dragons- there's always good ol' Anne McCaffery to fall back on with her Dragonriders of Pern, but I've got a few other good suggestions, too.

For example, Joust and its sequels by Mercedes Lackey. There's also the Dragon Prince books by Melanie Rawn (can't remember the first book, but it'll be the one before The Star Scroll). I can't think of any others right off the top of my head, but those should keep you busy for a couple months...unless you read like I do. :P

Oh, and if you haven't already read it, Eragon is DEFINITELY a good choice. Eldest is it's sequel if you're interested in the whole 'trilogy' (though I've heard the Inheritance Trilogy is now the Inheritance Series... >.>)...

Hope this helps!

Yes! Hello, I'm BBB, Bigbadbear, or Jared. Whatever floats your boat.

The trilogy Maximum Ride has really changed my style of writing, and I am sure that it will do the same to you. I would recommend it to ANYONE and EVERYONE! It's fantastic. It's by James Patterson, in case you didn't know.

Well, welcome to YWS! I hope you have a great time!

A very warm welcome to you, Clocks. That's what I'll call you.

If you're looking for a good fantasy read, I suggest Auralia's Colors by Jeffery Overstreet. Trust me, it's good.

Personally, I love fantasy. Sci-fi too, but mostly fantasy.

You're perfectly welcome, Twisted. However, I would NOT recommend watching the movie if you read the book. Oh, my, gosh- I was SO disappointed with it! Eragon the book was life changing for me (I recommend reading it as top-of-my-list XD) and the movie completely trashed it- seriously! It did not do Paolini's book justice! He never should have sold the movie rights!!!

Oh, and also Anne McCaffery's books are good- they've certainly influenced not only my style but my dragons! XD
