Hey there *frantically waves her hand while innocently smiling"

I am proudly to admit that yours truly is an intellectually lazy person/wannabe writer.
Talking about getting off on the wrong foot...^_^

My stuff usually doesn't look like poetry in the true sense of the word but no worries that just give the excuse of baptizing it, "lyrical stories" (how original, I know).

Among my countless artistic preoccupations you would find: anime and manga (which had the counter effect of inserting the brilliant idea that I should learn Japanese which predictably crashed and burned out of lack of time), sleeping (great remedy for those afflicted by procrastination), supposed bits of amazing originality that assert once more how brilliant I am (and no, I don't have an ego problem) and last but not least, making plans and proudly failing to accomplish them.....

Listening to rock, classics, symphonic metal, j-rock and God knows what more .

*Scratches her head to see if she forgot anything*...*Comes up with no match*

Hope you'll enjoy my nonsense^^

Haha, you sound like an older version of me. ^^

Welcome to the YWS! I'm Sumi, the manga-geek you can PM if you have any questions on the site. Gah, you really shouldn't've said you were into manga, now I'm going to ask you who your favorite manga-ka is versus the traditional favorite author bit.....XD Eh, I'll bite the bit. "Who's your favorite manga-ka?!" and "We're going to draw you into the anime cult on here!"
XD

About the cult thing, I'm kidding, of course. (The only cult-like ones are the Naruto guys....)

Ack, enough of a ramble on manga! How are you? What's your favorite author? Do you enjoy potatoes??

~Sumi  XD

Aren't you a little bundle of energy ^^
Danke for the fuzzy welcoming, Sumi....*gives an imaginary handshake*

My favourite manga-ka? Don't have one specifically...cuz I don't have just one genre which provides my regular fix...so amongst the better known....I shall include: the Clamp girls (hey a girls/writer needs angst of whatever form/shape or colour), Samura-san, Yun-Koga, Moyoco Anno, Basco Hatori...Shirow Miwa ...etcetera *starts suffering from CTS*
*will be aware of the cult*

Favourite author...same as above....*types an inquiry* ...Romain Gary, Curzio Malaparte, Johan Bojer, Ted Hughes, Eugen Ionesco.... *gives the senpai knows better look*

Feel free to ask whatever else ^^

*Stops giving*

I'm into anime, mostly. I like "Advent Children" and "Gundam Wing." Some others as well, "Wolf's Rain" comes to mind.

So, welcome to YWS. PM me if you have questions. And have fun!

Wolf's Rain! My one and only anime-love. For the present, anyway. Typical, I start a welcome and talk about myself instead..

*starts again* Hi Mezer and welcome to the site! My name is Twit, and I will be your resident idiot for the day!

Is poetry the main thingie what you write? I hope you can write so's I understand it - I must confess to being a completely initiated Vogon where poems are concerned. I only worry about whether they rhyme, and if I can understand them or not.

Heneewyze, hope you like the site (you will) and don't regret joining (you won't) and join into the comunity spirit (compulsary).

Hi and welcome! I'm relatively new too! My name is Lini, pleased to meet you!

Lol I tried the same thing with Japanese...when there's no class to complete assignments for, I can't find much initiative to pick up the audio tapes and book and actually study. I did learn a little, though.

はじめまして。 YWS の Meep です。どうぞ よろしく。
(How do you do. I'm Meep, from YWS. Please look kindly on me.)

If you're interested, try the Manga University's Kanji de Manga series, starting with Kana de Manga. I use it as a study guide for my class. (We're using the kana version of Japanese for Busy People - the version on Amazon.com even comes with a CD to listen to - and I know there are loads of others - Japanese in Manga Land comes to mind.)

Aaaanyway~ pleased to meet you and all of that. :D Did you know there's a manga/animé usergroup? We've been a little inactive, but a new member might spice things up!
✖ I'm sick, you're tired. Let's dance.

Cheerio, friend!

Welcome ever-so to the YWS!!! We're all a crazy bunch of lunatics here, but we have OODLES of fun (whether it's because of or in spite of our lunacy, I'm not sure yet) and I'm sure you'll fit riiight in.

Um, not sure if that was a compliment or not, considering what I just said about the state of our sanity, but try to take it as one nonetheless.

I'm Mademoiselle Kool, but you can call me Kool or if you're spelling-impaired, Cool. Give me a ring (or in this case, a pm) if you have a question, need a critique on your 'lyrical stories' or just want to chat with someone from the other side of the strait jacket. I'm almost always here.

So once again, welcome!

~Mademoiselle Kool

P.S. Please don't let the strange and slightly twisted content of this welcome inhibit your good times on the site. :P

Danke guys for the welcoming....^^
*counts replies and takes them one by one as the C/O that she is*

I write whatever (prose, poetry, prose poems lol) though when it comes to technicalities I'm not that much if at all into the constraints of rhythm and rhyme but have no worries I won't bother you with my in depth, philosophical stuff ...I scoop for the glittery ones.

I know what you mean, Lini....though while on my usual my firework fit....I managed to learn enough (and I'm being serious here) to know it wasn't for me...so now I'm or gonna be when I get to college into Arabic

Hey Meep....I didn't know abt the group but I'll check it...

Kool....lol....your nickname is neat...thanks for the offers though you might regret being so generous, lol

*sighs*
