A few months ago, nearly more than half-a-year ago, I rekindled a love-affair with prose and short stories right after reading Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things, (i wish I were him and me at the same time) since then I've been searching and double searching for a desire to want to write prose--and to remain consistent and steady when writing stories meant to be taken as a combination of fantasy, science-fiction and EXTREME importantness. I want to sharpen the metaphorical sword and go gung-ho on the english language--before I am asleep forever.

However, I fear I am just legacy hunting and less writer than I am trying. Right now, I spent the last three or so hours mobbing the GameFAQs forums in the expectation of getting a Hold Item for my Pokemon game. It’s a pin-tack to the rear end but I ultimately succeeded. The person who gave me what I wanted gave me a decent deal, but he seemed both lofty, friendly and noobish. So I pounced on the chance.

Does that make me a bad person? I don’t think so. I gave him a level 36 Slaking, which is probably one of the high stated non-legendary Pokemon, I just think it has bad moves and bad IVs for its generation.

But I hate this. I hate this. I’m not feeling a hunt going on, or at the very best, that the hunt for the Hold Item was something like three seasons and one hibernation session. The overwhelming sense of patheticness strikes when you’re working on a stupid task like scrolling through Trading Boards.

I be the kind of person who enjoys trying his best to deviate from boringness, destroy the master ostrich-race of the ennui, and be a general jerk-off to the things that are SUPERDUPER lame. One of these lame things might be my english teacher, or might not be (but since we're doing Shakespeare in class--he's getting less lamer by the minute). But please, my humor might flooding with emerald rancor, esoterica and hidden Britishness. I might not mean to be mean to you intentionally. I might become SUPERDUPER lame at that point.

I'm trying to find myself in the writer swing, and hope to learn and become an audience member and to find an audience as well. Live and learn basically.

SALVE!

And yes, I’m actually familiar with the critiquing scene. I try to assess a work for its qualities, and make suggestions to the work concerning characters, events, actual sentence structure and so forth. I’ve done it before on many other writing forums, under a range of many types of work, of many different lengths. I try to be as liberal as I can in any work’s meaning and what happens within the story. Do not get me wrong, I do not bloat the ego, but try to encourage more writing, so naturally people need nice things heard about themselves before I say the mean things. I will not lie and say that things ever get beyond me.

Hey Box!

Welcome to YWS! You'll fit in just fine here!

(by the way, Pokemon=love)
My friend is obsessed with it! He has diamond for DS, and I'm slowly learning to love it too.

Well, see you around! Have fun here, and if you ever need anything, feel free to send me a message or something and I'll see what I can do for ya!

Wishing you the best of luck and the happiest of times,
-JC
But that is not the question. Why we are here, that is the question. And we are blessed in this, that we happen to know the answer. Yes, in this immense confusion one thing alone is clear. We are waiting for Godot to come. -Beckett

Hey Box :D
It's a little late, but I'm spontaneous like that, so bear with me. I saw the title of your thread and busted up laughing, so I decided I had to see what the heck was going on here.
....And let you know that I thought it was hilarious. It's those little and random things that make me laugh the most *sigh*
Haha anyway, thanks for the laugh, and welcome- belatedly, but welcome!
